Appetizers for a fall party?!

Question:

Appetizers for a fall party?

I am planning a small get together in a couple of weeks. I would like to do fall-themed appetizers. I will be having mulled wine, cider, and pumpkin bars - but I need to round out the menu with a few appetizers. It will be a short evening party. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thank you! :)

Answers:
Because it's fall themed, you might want to do some hot apps. But try to stay away from turkey. If you are serving wine, a nice fruit and cheese assortment would be good. Most people don't really eat veggie trays, so that may be a waste of money. Foodtv.com always has some great recipes and they are rated from easy to very difficult. Check out the Barefoot Contessa (Ina Garten)for a great antipasto platter. Good luck!

Little pecan pies

Appys are appys...anytime, anywhere...

A vegetable tray is always colorful with a good dip.........Here's a dip I've made for years............1-8oz cream cheese, cut in half, a small diced
onion, small jar of hellmans, ( 2 beef bouillon cubes, 1 chicken, melted in 1/4 cp water in microwave,) ,squirt of lemon juice...Put all ingredients in blender until blended..........pour into a few containers the size of dip containers. Refrigerate at least 2 hours b/4 serving one at a time for dip......Makes approx 2 cups....
Finger sandwiches are usually a hit..........spread ham salad on bread, make a sandwich..cut in three sections long wise......then spread chicken salad and do the same.........turkey, and maybe egg salad ........Lastly, fruit kabobs like 5-7 different fruits on a skewer..... (1 per person) on a plate in plastic wrap right b/4 guest come .......(have cinnamon sticks for cider (hot?)You can purchase pumpkin spice candles to sit around (2-3)wonderful fragrance.....enjoy yourself!
