Wash with soap and cold water...or is that garlic?
The only way to neutralize the sulphurous oils of onions is to rub your hands, and smelly parts, on a piece of stainless steel. This will remove the smell from your hands.
If you have a stainless steel sink or faucet, rub your hands over the steel, then wash. The smell is gone. Or use a chopper so that you don't have to touch the exposed onion.
Rub your hands with fresh lemons
Rub your hands with lemon juice, this also works if you have been chopping garlic!
I keep a bottle of dishsoap with lemon juice added to it to wash my hands in the kitchen. I have heard that if you hold a stainless steel butter knife in your hand that it gets rid of the smell, but that has never worked for me.
Lemon juice is supposed to work.
I use a coconut-fraganced foam handwash which is excellent for getting rid of most kitchen smells.
i cant see when i chop onions i cry too much, then i wash my hands like crazy and the smell wears off soon.
The stainless steel procedure works well, but never use hot water to wash your hands. This opens the poires, and the smell sinks-in. Old Islamic torture trick, throw someone in hot water, then cover them in chilli powder, and then lob them in cold water to close the pores... agonising.
Lemons are a good remedy but if you don't have lemons ..I bet ya got tooth paste try that

Use a lemon, the juice of a lemon removes most odors.
Lemon juice should do the trick. I keep the ready-squeezed lemon juice in my fridge so I always have it on hand when cooking. It will also take the smell away from almost anything--dishware, cutting boards, etc.
lemon juice or tomato juice
