If you sat in a bath of melted chocolate, how long would it take to set?!

Question:

If you sat in a bath of melted chocolate, how long would it take to set?

Just something me and my hubby were randomly wondering tonight after watching willy wonka and the chocolate factory...

Answers:
that depends on to many things like is the bath plastic or enamel etc.. room temp body temp try it and let me know :)

depends on how much you eat

it wouldn't because of your body temp

how hot is your body temperature, if any all would not set

it depends if it was cold out and the windows were open it would set pretty quickly

Not long if your hubby is up for it.Yum yum.

I'm not sure that it would. Wouldn't it reach body temperature sooner or later, and stay molten? If your body was getting cold, you'd just eat some of the chocolate. You could stay there a LONG time. Hmm, thinks...

I think I would have eaten it all (or drank it all???) before it got time to set!!!

But, I think a bathful of melted chocolate would set as your body temp could not keep that much chocolate in a state of liquidation. I reckon it would take a couple of hours!!!

Chocolate begins to set at 81o F though I would assume it would depend a great deal upon the amount of cocoa butter the chocolate contained. Some chocolates melt at 109o while higher temp chocolates melt at 131o, so I would assume it would be possible to get a bathtub of chocolate to set with a creamy/crunchy person in the center if one was using enough cocoa butter.

What would you call that anyway? Ted Nuget? LOL!

Body temperature is 98.6 degrees. Chocolate melts at around 90 degrees. You body heat alone would prevent the tub filled with chocolate from setting.

depends on the temperature of the room. plus your bodyheat

as long as you both want to taste eachother in bath suits

It would remain liquid around your body but solidify further away. Keep in a position where you can pull yourself out in a straight line or you might have to call someone with a hammer and chisel.
Rather like those kids toys where they knock the plaster off to sculpt a figure inside.
