Can you really make coke shoot up in the air with Mentos candy?!

Question:

Can you really make coke shoot up in the air with Mentos candy?

Answers:
This phenomena does work and was recently featured on "Myth busters". The chemical makeup of the candy causes the Co2 bubbles in the soda to explode and with no place to go they shoot out with an incredible force. Definitely don't try it indoors,...can you even imagine the mess...LOL ;-)

im gonna go out on a whim here and say yes? You should email it to Mythbusters.

YES! It's been shown on a lot of talk shows

My friends and I were talking about this last night! That's so funny. Apparently you can.

Yes. Mythbusters already tested it--watched it a few days ago.

Yep, I've seen it happen. My local news station conducted a test on it and it worked. Let me see if I can find that video for you. I can't find it:( But it does happen lol.

Yes! my son and husband did this and it really works but it has to be diet cola. it is something about the diet soda that makes it shoot way high. get some cheap sodas and try it outside.

Yes, the guys I work with actually did this. You take a 2 litre bottle of coke and drop a whole tube of Mentos into it and watch the action... I think there's probably a technique to it but I didn't get there in time to see it all.

Try it I guess

u no, i have heard that it works so im goin with yes

Yeah I've Tried It.

Watched the video, so want to try this. One tube on mentos? How about 10 tubes of Mentos?

YES YOU CAN AND ITS PRETTY COOL, YOU TAKE THE LID OFF AND INSTANTLY AND 2 OR MORE OF THE MENTOSE AND BACK UP THE MORE YOU PUT IN THE HIGHER IT WILL SHOOT. I DO RECOMMEND YOU DO IT OUTSIDE IT WILL MAKE A MESS.

Yes you can! It's actually a diet pepsi, it causes a chemical reaction and the mixture explodes.

i just did it
