What is a traditional channukah dinner/family meal?!

Question:

What is a traditional channukah dinner/family meal?

Answers:
Oh great. Now I'm totally jonesing for some latkes. Diced scallions, sour cream......crap. Don't even talk to me about the brisket.......mmmmmm.

do you mean Hanukkah

Dude above me, it's a transliteration of a hebrew word, you can pretty much spell it how you please.

Anyway, we usually have briskit, challah if it's shabbat, and latkes, tons and tons of latkes. And Doughnuts for desert. You are supposed to eat fried food like latkes and doughnuts to remind us of the miraculous oil. And of course no Jewish meal is complete without manachevitz wine.

before you get started, make sure you have a kosher kitchen. After that, these are the essentials you must include: Challah, serve when fresh with some salt. Lentil soup, include hard boiled eggs and serve as the whole pot in the middle. Lentils are always a good treat but what is really good and one of my favourite, Gafilta fish. Soooo good! Of course dont forget the red wine and get drunk! The rabbi should be encouraging you!
