What is a "box burning party?"?
My wife and I were invited to one this weekend, and we're sort of scratching our heads wondering what to expect.

i dont know, but you have to show up naked otherwise they wont let you in.
i think it's when people move into a new house and finally unpack everthing from boxes.
Sounds like something akin to a housewarming party, ie: we just finished unpacking and we're burning all the boxes!

This might be rubbish but...
I heard you you can cook food (eg a casserole) by putting the dish in a box of straw and then the food cooks by insulation. I think the food maybe has to be heated first but the straw insulation does the rest. You can also bury the box with the food and straw in it. I'm not sure where the burning comes in.
Maybe its where you burn boxes or wood for heat and sit around the fire just having a blast..??..
