We had this challenge too. :-(

Try muffins, juice, bagels, etc... from Costco. They have some nice breakfast breads and danishes as well. 5 lbs of cut up fruit can be had for $10. You could supplement with things like their lavosh sandwich rolls and pasta salad and pick up sodas there as well.

Good luck. I know it sounds cheap, but truthfully most people will probably be so thrilled to get free food that they won't even notice.

Good luck with that one. Water and crackers?

mcdonalds. hah

Donuts, Sweet rolls, some fruit, orange juice and coffee.

mcdonald's, subway, pizza, or kfc??

Bagels and muffins

Costco, buy in bulk.... bagels, muffins, mini sandwiches, veggie platters, meat and cheese trays, fruit platters, shrimp, etc.

Man, corporate REALLY appreciates your clients, huh? Simple muffins/bagels continental breakfasts run about 2.50 per person. And that does not include ANY beverage.

That's enough for some coffee & juice, and assortment of bagels or rolls, donuts, and jelly/cream cheese.
Not a "brunch" but SOMETHING they can eat!

I should think scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and fruit shouldn't be that expensive, but they surely aren't trying to impress, are they?

Pancakes and scrambled eggs. And coffee, splurge on some really great rich coffee and they might overlook how cheap their host is being.

TIP A RESTAURANT WHICH CAN CATER SO SIMPLE

LOL You won't be able to get much. You'll have to do something similar to a continental breakfast. Go somewhere and buy bulk sweet rolls, muffins, or bagels. Then just serve it with juices and coffee. Add in an assortment of fruit. You can't get much for some a small price, and you have to assume 1-2 pieces per person.

Bagels, danishes, fruit, orange juice, coffee, and water

Thats alot of people on such a small budget! I wonder if someone would make bacon, eggs, and pancakes? Call IHOP to see if they what they will do for $250, or a local diner.

Better yet, call grandma in to help cook!

You need a bigger budget to feed 150 people. I don't know anyone who can feed 150 people on a $250 budget. $250 would not even cover a caterer's cost of food for 150.

OK, here is my crazy Idea get the number of your local food distributor, get a case of eggs and a 2 cases of bacon, a dozen loafs of bread.here is the hard part, cook all the eggs. I would simply scramble them, and put them in one of those big foil turkey rosters.Borrow your friends, parents , neighbours toasters set them up on a table.Don't forget coffee, tea, sugar, spoons, jams stuff like that. And Remember presentation is the difference between homemade and Catered. If you are in the Ottawa region write me

Get fruit, veggie, cheese and lunch meat trays. Bagels, muffins, donuts coffee, tea, water. Order from the local grocery store and donut shop.

you can get several veggie, fruit, meat platters made

That's like $1.50/person. I'm sorry, but it just can't be done. Time to whittle down the guest list! Just throw a private brunch for your major hitters.

My other suggestion would be to hit up a bulk retailer like Costco, BJ's, Sam's Club, etc.

um no.... $250 is nothing it there is no way you will be able to find nething it works out to be $1.60 per person....
have u ever heard of someone getting a good breakfast for that!!!????!!!
i think not!

not much...donuts, juice, coffee, simple meat and cheese platters..thats about it...250.00 for 150 people is not workable for anything better, good luck..

seems impossible unless you are allowed homemade food... i would go though the steps and contact places that cater and get written estimates and give to your boss..hope the boss will find out $250.00 is a no go.................
