Does anyone have any ideas for a company Christmas party?
It is for 8 men and their wives. Age ranging from 30 - 50. In Sydney area. Any suggestions?

Do you have an classy bars in the area that have space they rent out for parties? That way you can have they party and decorate the way you want with food and such and if people want to still hang out when the party is over they can still choose to be right there together.
As an activity, if you want to do one...You can have everyone write down some little known facts about themselves and then play a little game where you have to guess who the fact is about. It's a good way to get to know each other even better and it fills time. If you wanted to, you could give away gifts for whoever answers the most correct.
I used to work in this company where we played parlor games during christmas. We were all divided into groups and each group should give a dance or song number and then think of a game the company can play. So all in all, we had 6 different games and 6 different production numbers. You can do acting / drama. This is very fun and it will build better relationship among co-workers. You can also exchange gifts and do a raffle for the employees.
Get them all together at an office or building. Decorate about a week before. buy food and ask each guest to bring a dish or dessert. If there are any kids, print some Christmas coloring pages and supply crafts. Have a Christmas carol CD playing and get some one to dress like Santa.

call a restaurant in advance--reserve seating. get group rate pricing for meal. Print off information and directions and hand out. Go and Enjoy. no clean up, no stress, no panic. no picky eaters, no dealing with drunks. i learned this lesson the hard way. this is so much better.
My office is having an informal casino party with poker, black jack, and other popular games. There are many more of us, but perhaps you can do a poker party or something with some fun snacks and appetizers! Oh, and dont forget the tasty beverages!
