What should I serve for breakfast?!

Question:

What should I serve for breakfast?

I'm hosting a ladies breakfast get together in the morning and don't know what to serve? Any ideas?

Answers:
I'm going to assume by your screen name that you don't do caffeine or alcohol...

A french toast casserole is easy and you can assemble it a day in advance

2 loaves of cinnamon raisin bread (or any stale bread on hand is fine, just up the cinnamon to 2 1/2 tsp and add raisins if you like) - torn into bite size pieces

6 whole eggs
4 cups milk
1 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 stick butter, melted and cooled
Mix all ingredients except bread together. Place bread chunks in a buttered baking dish and pour wet mixture over top. Cover in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 1 hour (or up to 24 hours).
Remove plastic and bake at 350 for 1 hour. Serve hot with maple syrup, powdered sugar or plain.

Sliced fruit, such as melons, oranges, apples (dipped in lemon-water to prevent browning), grapes and bananas are always lovely.

I would also have a protein available, such as hard boiled eggs (or deviled), sausages, bacon or thick cut ham cut into slices.

As for beverages, an assortment of teas, juice and well chilled water should work fine. If you want something a little festive, you might try Hot apple cider with a few cranberries floating in the class or instead of cranberries add a little drizzle of caramel for Caramel Apple Cider. Personally, I enjoy my cider with a few Red Hot candies.

Have a wonderful breakfast!

Eggs, Bacon, Homefries
Beagles, Toast, Lox, Creamcheese, Butter, Oatmeal

a cheeseburger with spice ketchup

It looks like you started digging the well after you noticed the fire.

Just what you would love to eat in breakfast and prepare the same.

Bagels, Fresh Fruit, Oatmeal, Coffee, and Juice.

you should serve oatmeal, coffe, orange juice, healthy cerial and toast with jam.

Bucks fizz (champagne and orange juice).

Quiche-- one vegetarian option and, if you like, one with meat. Otherwise two veggie options.

Fruit-- melons, berries, grapes are easy.

Regular OJ, mimosas, coffee, maybe some juice options. Bloody Mary's are fun if no one has work afterward.

Regardless of what you end up making, have fun!

All girls? wow!! nice idea!

idea 1: eggs benedicts; easy to made, tasty and not that fattening

idea 2: stacks of pancakes wit marple syrup and strawberry... yummmm..ladies normally have sweet tooth!! :D

idea 4: omelettes wit different varieties of filling. could be herb, tomato, bacon, cheese... imagination goes wild hehe

a cheese/ham strata you can fully prepare the night before.
a purchased coffeecake from a bakery
fresh fruit cocktail. Throw in something a bit exotic to add interest such as mango or papaya.
orange juice

I was going to answer this question but got so caught up in the answers that I would like to place my breakfast order. A mimosa please, with fresh hot coffee, fluffy eggs prepared with cheese and sausage crumbles and garnished with greens (parsley, etc., anything pretty will do), a variety of hot breads and REAL butter topped off with a choice of golden honey, rich molasses, and strawberry (or any other fruit) preserves - preserves, not jelly. To give others a choice, I would provide some healthy and tasty cereal and a tray of fresh fruits (in bite size pieces) to add to the cereals. Milk in ice-cold pitchers. Real cream for the coffee, or flavored additives such as Irish Cream, Hazelnut, Ameretto).. A great tasty breakfast is so easy and much quicker than lunch or dinner. Hope you have a great time. Wish I was invited. Don't forget that the eye determines pleasure at meal time as well as the tastebuds. How about a simple flower arrangement or some kind of centerpiece (the fruit might work well here too. (I like combining lemons and limes in a crystal bowl. Adds color and looks fresh.

A nice assortment...breakfast casserole (something eggy, like quiche), fruit, water, juice and coffee, pastries and some kind of meat.
