What happens to soda when frozen?!

Question:

What happens to soda when frozen?

Answers:
it just rises and causes the can to kind of pop open. the soda will spill out and freeze..it can also pop really hard and splatter all over the freezer

It changes the flavor of it as the freezing crushes the carbonation

it gets cold

Boom & Mess

I agree with the third person. She is right

blows up and makes a terrible sticky mess!!

If you put it in a larger container you have frozen soda but if you leave it in it's original container you have a mess it explodes.

It get's hard and cold...

It will lose carbonation if the container explodes or "bugs out". If the container is a plastic bottle and it doesn't lose its seal, just let it thaw in the refrigerator and it will be okay. You can re-carbonate soda by putting it into a container with about a gram of dry ice per 2 liters for about 20 minutes.

Try it. If you freeze a can or plastic bottle, the container may survive the experience. It it doesn't, it's going to make a mess. Put the container in a larger plastic container with a loose fitting lid, but make sure that the lid won't get blown off if the soda container splits. You want the outer container to be able to release the CO2 but contain the liquid. After thawing, the drink should be good as new provided the can didn't split. If it did spilt, the soda will be flat. DON't try it with a glass bottle.

If in a can, the can explodes.

If you put a soda in for mabye an hour or 2, it becomes a slushi, If you leave it in for a day, it becomes a flavored soda cube, also try putting your favorite soda in an ice tray, leave it in for a day, take it out and put it in your drink, or just eat it!

Put a can in the freezer and let me know the results after you clean up the mess.

It is in there a while then all of a sudden *BOOM!* and you look in and you see that you have made a mess! lol

It splits the can or plastic bottle it is in, makes a mess in your freezer and loses its fizz.

it will explode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You get a messy freezer!
