What foods would you recommend to a person with allergies for sweet foods?!

Question:

What foods would you recommend to a person with allergies for sweet foods?

For about 2 year now I have become allergic to all sweet and carbohydrate foods. Please help because am really suffering. (fruits, drinks, sweet medicines, rice, wheat, ripe plantian, yam etc) please help me.

Answers:
I recommend that you see an allergy specialist that can perform an allergy test (the most high tech is the ImmunoCap? Specific IgE Blood Test). That way you can find out exactly what you are allergic to because it is almost impossible for your both to function with out some sugars (complex sugars that are found in almost all food). I believe you are probably allergic either to fructose corn syrup.

Sweet potato pie, candied yams, cranberries, sweet Thai or Vietnamese sticky rice. Those are pretty sweet and not very unhealthy.

It's probably a good idea you go to an allergist or a helath professional that deals with allergies and food intolerances.

In the meantime you can eat meats, fish, non-starchy vegetables and nuts.
