Question: Ideas for pirate party food!?
We are having a pirate party this weekend and I need to think of a good Caribbean/pirate appetizer that wouldn't be too expensive!. Usually I would make a dessert but my aunt is already taking care of that!. Any ideas!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Festive Shrimp Pinwheels

1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1/3 cup garlic-and-herb spreadable cheese (from 5!.2- to 6!.5-oz container)
1/2 cup coarsely chopped cooked shrimp
2 tablespoons chopped green onions

Heat oven to 350°F!. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray!. Unroll dough and separate into 2 long rectangles; press each into 12x4-inch rectangle, firmly pressing perforations to seal!.
Spread cheese over each rectangle!. Sprinkle each with shrimp and onions; press in lightly!.
Starting with one short side, roll up each rectangle; press edge to seal!. With serrated knife, cut each roll into 8 slices; place cut side down on cookie sheet!.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until edges are golden brown!. Immediately remove from cookie sheet!. Serve warm!.

BASIC!!! use cookie cutters in fun pirate shapes to cut cheeses and meats for a platter!. usa a treasure chest to hold the crackers!. make a fruit tray of mango, pineapple, etc!. A shrimp cocktail tray and a chip with fruity salsa tray!. decorate table with gold coin chocolates, m-gra beads, a hook or two!.!.!.hit the halloween section!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

For drink pirates would drink rum maybe for the adults :)

If your appetizer is too use fruit Pirates and sailors often ate limes to cure scurvy!.
