What makes a great house party?!

Question:

What makes a great house party?

I'm gonna be 18 really soon and I haven't arranged ANYTHING. Plzplzplz give me some ideas to make this a party my friends will remember, and that they won't just sit around at.

Answers:
great food..great music..maybe some fun games (scene it..twister ..etc!)

Beer and strippers would make for a good start. Oh yeah.....RUM....don't forget about the rum!!!

Something your friends will remember... hmm. Here you go. Invite all your friends AND their parents. It could turn out hilarious! Now THAT would be unique.

Have things to do at this party. If their is enough to do they won't have a chance to sit around. If its a drinking party ( I doubt it cause your 18) have drinking games like beer pong and flip cup. If its not a drinking party get some cheesy kids game themed things. Like get a poster of a girl/guy and play pin the missing body part to the poster. stupid stuff like that will make your party memorable

Hmmm. 18. Congrats! You could always play a DVD of Dane Cook doing standup. Its very adult and everyone will have a good laugh. Have good food, but dont break the bank over it. Mix some velveeta and a can of Ro-tel in a bowl and microwave. Throw some tortilla chips in the oven at 425 for 4 minutes, and BAM you're done. if youre keeping it alcohol free, get some interesting sodas..like Jones. Don't know where you live, but there are some interesting snacks and drinks at World Market. Hopefully you are lucky to have one near by.

get a clown, a mime, a donkey, and a prostitute. preferably you should get the donkey and the hooker in a package deal. ya dig?

How about a 50's/60's party. Have pizza, soda, everyone dresses up. Clear out the furniture and dance. Have a bandstand contest and vote for the best dancers.

have some nice music going and either a cook-out or if you dont wanna go all out then just the usual junk or appetizers.

If it's gonna be "just the girls" than make it a sappingly sweet chix flix night, i.e. "The Notebook". Have some great snacks, and drinks and your all set. If it's a big group thing, try a murder mystery or a casino night. There's lots of "How To's" out there. Just google it.

goood friends, music get a dj, food, games like taboo or catch phrase, air hockey, pool table

1. Picture Scavenger Hunt- Go to the local mall/college and have your friends split off into several teams. Have a list ready for them and whoever wins gets a prize.

2. Formal party- Have a dinner party, complete with floating candles, awesome tablepieces, and have everyone wear decently fancy clothes (skirts, etc.)

3. Make gingerbread houses and vote on the best one.

4. The most memorable birthday party that I've ever thrown myself involved volunteering at a Toys for Tots thing. Perhaps, you could have everyone bring cans of food/a toy or something to donate to a local charity. Then, have the night be filled with games, food, music, etc.

5. Murder Mystery Dinner- I think they have Murder Mystery game sets out there.
