Answers:
You have got a choice:
1) English way:
On the right, above the plate. From left to right: Water, red wine, white wine, champagne above red wine. Note that in English protocole, you may place your glasses in a diagonale instead of a strait line
2) French way:
Strait above the plate, from left to right: water, red wine, white wine, champagne
3 American way:
Almost like French, but no champagne glass and the red wine slightly above the 2 others

very carefully!

up side down

On the right, above the plate.
If you are serving more than one wine in more than one glass, the first wine goes into the nearest glass, the second into the one just beyond it, etc.

forks to the left, knife to the right (blade facing the fork), spoon next to the knife. All appetizers on the outside working your way to the plate (first appetizer utensil is on the outside). Coffe cup and saucer to the right of the spoon. Water glass directly above the knife then your wine glasses ;-)

With clock reference, at 1:00, with water glasses at 1:30.

Make sure you spit on them and give them a good polish

The wine glass should be above the knife and spoon (right hand side of the setting) and the water glass should be on the inside of the wine glass, but slightly further away from the plate.

I work in a restaurant and the way we set a table is this
starter fork on the left main fork to the right of that
starter knife on the right, main knife on the left of that
wine glass to the left of the main knife at the very tip of the corner of the knife
hope that helps!

Wine glasses are set on the right side above the plate. First water, then white wine, then red going left to right.

place to the top right. no probs

place glasses above knife setting(to the right)water glass first, wine glasses then pudding wine or port glasses last, dont for get when pouring wine turn the bottle when finished to stop any drips

I always put them at about 1 o'clock at my restaurant when serving wine. Most people are right-handed anyway so that eliminates knocking over glasses. I guess it was more a matter of convenience. The water glass was always at about the same place.

next to water glass
