Question:

Can you give me a Menu for Sunday, Its my daughters' christening day.?

Answers:
Are you having sit down dinner, if so, how many or are you looking for finger type foods for a reception afterwords?
If you're having a sit down dinner try a nice beef roast, sear it in a skillet on the stove in a bit of oil and garlic before on all sides. Have mashed taters and gravy, corn, 7-layer salad and cake for dessert.

7-layer salad is made in a 9x13 dish. Layer lettuce, diced celery, diced red onion, diced tomatoes, green peppers in the dish. Add a bag of frozen peas on top. Mix a couple tbs. of sugar into 1 1/2 cup of mayonnaise and spread top. Top that with shredded cheddar cheese and bacon bits. Let sit in fridge overnight. Use name brand mayo though as store brand tends to separate.

If you're doing finger foods make either little smokies with BBQ sauce or sweet and sour meatballs in your crockpot; do a meat and cheese tray and some buns for sandwiches, make some coleslaw and potato salad and maybe chips and dip or salsa and your cake for dessert!

How about ham finger rolls and egg salad finger rolls, chips, a cake, maybe some juice for the children and soda for the adults.

roast potatoe carrot rolls pie tea

Buffet:

Chicken Tenders from Walmart or Sam's Deli (ask someone to p/u on the way home from church, pay ahead w/ CC# over the phone)

Cold Meat Tray w/ Beef, Turkey & Ham and Cheeses (pepper jack, cheddar, swiss) -- p/u w/ chicken tenders

Rolls or Croissants sliced almost all the way thru (leave hinged for easy eating) to make small sandwiches

Variety of fancy mustards and mayo

Pasta Salad

Tossed Green Salad

Pickles, Olives, Mixed Nuts, Butter Mints

Sheet cake from same place you get the chicken tenders w/ your DD's name and a cross on it in *soft* pink and white

Sloppy joes--you can put them in the crockpot to stay hot. Everyone can make a plate, with a macaroni salad or potato salad, chips, beans, pickles & relish trayand of course a Christening cake.
