gravy, pecan pie, green beans, yams

:> peace
.

Id worry about turkey day first

mac & cheese, green beans, slaw....?

A nice cake or fruit pie would be great. You also need some sort of vegetable side dish.

Green Bean Casserole.
Fruit Salad with Whipped Cream.

Rum cake for desert

you need a ham too... mac and cheese, yams, cranberry sauce, cornbred, collard greens, black eyed peas, with pumpkin pie, apple pie, chocolate cake, and a oreo dirt cake

We usually have a green bean cassarole as well. Don't forget the numerous sides of cranberries or cranberry sauces.

Christmas? or thanksgiving? either way there are always rolls, deviled eggs, pistachio pudding fruit salad, cheese and salami trays are fun, green bean casserole, happy holidays!

My mom usually makes broccoli and cheese, cranberry sauce-either the whole or the jelly stuff that comes in a can, gravy, some type of dinner rolls or bread, maybe some pies or cake,

ICE CREAM!! IS always good~ since it is Christmas just make it green =0)

If you have a Safeway check to see if they have a Pumpkin Cheese Pecan Struedel. I bought one to use for Thanksgiving and it sounds and looks really good. As far as side dishes, if your family like brussel sprouts get some fresh ones and blanch them (place in boiling water for 2 minutes and then submerge them in ice water) Cut in half and place on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, kosher salt and fresh ground pepper (Regular pepper wll do, but not as good). Roast at 350 for 20 minutes. While roasting chop and fry bacon, onions, add 1 can of diced tomatoes, and some fresh chopped garlic and melted butter. The acid in the tomatoes takes the bitterness out of the brussel sprouts.

Here's a couple really yummy Christmas desserts :)

I saw in a magazine a simple recipe that looked good. It was a traditional "whoopie pie" and where the cream squirts out on the sides they had rolled it in crushed candy canes. Pretty, classic, and yummy. plus individual portions let you take some home or control your diet which ever suits you.they can be frozen as well, and prepared ahead of time.

stuffing is good, If you could make green bean casserole, its really yummy.

Dessert-Christmas Pudding with Hard Sauce. This dessert really makes a nice show as you heat it up ,add alcohol, light it on fire and spoon the flames over it. Buy the christmas pudding in a can though. Don't attempt it from scratch!! Trust me!

Side Dish-Roasted Butternut Squash with Brown Sugar, Butter and Nutmeg.

Side Dish-Green Beans with Tarragon, Mushrooms and toasted pecans. (if you don't like pecans or someone has an allergy to nuts-you can omit the nuts or add finely chopped water chesnuts to give it an extra kick) Plus added bonus tarragon goes great with poultry.

Blue lake beans
1/4 cup sour cream
1 can cambells creme of mushroom soup
1 bunch fresh tarragon
3 tbs half and half
1/2 cup chopped pecans
salt and pepper
Pretty simple-Get Blue Lake beans-Boil until a nice greena and aldente-Shock in an ice water bath to stop the cooking and preserve color.

Toast Pecans-You can do this in a frying pan over the stove top-just make sure you dont burn them or you can do it in a sheet pan in the oven-you dont need to add oil.
When Cooled, finely chop them. Chop Tarragon. Get a can of cambells creme of muchroom soup-some sour creme. In a pot add the creme of mushroom soup, beans, pecans, sour cream and a wee bit of half and half and stir until hot-add chopped tarragon-season with salt and pepper to taste.
