I'm having friends and family over to see my new house. Any good Christmas type finger foods I should have?

Spinach dip and red salsa chips. Cranberry & cream cheese dip with sweet crackers.

Buy prepackaged mini meatballs and also cocktail weiners. Put them in a crockpot with a jar of grape jelly and a jar of chili sauce. Heat through.

Think of a theme like 1960 cocktail party and go with foods that were popular then, like olive spread on triscuts, cheese puffs, porcupine meatballs, franks in bbq sauce etc

SUE's ALMOND PINECONE DIP:
1 1/4 cups whole natural almonds
1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup mayonnaise
5 crisply cooked bacon slices, crumbled
1 Tablespoon chopped green onion
1/2 teaspoon dill weed
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Assorted Crackers for serving
Spread almonds in a single layer in shallow pan or cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 15 minutes, stirring often, until almonds just begin to turn color.
Combine softened cream cheese and mayonnaise; mix well. Add bacon, onion, dill and pepper; mix well.

Cover and chill overnight.
Form cheese mixture into shape of pinecone on serving platter. Beginning at narrow end, press almonds at a slight angle into cheese mixture in rows. Continue overlapping rows until all cheese is covered. Garnish with artificial or real pine sprigs that have been cleaned. Serve with assorted crackers.

SUE's EASY CHICKEN SQUARES:
2 (8 oz.) packages crescent dinner rolls
1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
2 Tablespoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon dried dill
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 (5 oz.) can Premium Chunk White Chicken, drained, flaked
1 small tomato, deseeded and diced
1 cucumber, deseeded and diced
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Unroll both cans of dough; Place and firmly press dough on bottom of ungreased cookie sheet; and up sides to form crust sealing the perforations by pressing the edges of the dough together with your fingertips to cover entire sheet.
Bake for 8 minutes or until crust is light golden brown. Set aside to Cool.
In small bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, dill, and garlic. Mix until smooth. Spread cheese mixture on top of crust. Spread chicken evenly on top entire crust followed next with tomato, then cucumber. Sprinkle with cheese on top.
Keep refrigerated until ready to serve. Cut into small squares. Makes a great appetizer!

Note: you may also substitute with Premium Chunk White Turkey or Ham.

ESTHER's CREAM CHEESE TARTS:
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
5 oz graham crackers, crushed
2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons butter, melted
1 can Cherry Pie Filling
Beat together cream cheese, egg, sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. Set aside.
In another bowl combine graham crackers crumbs, sugar and melted butter.
Line tart pan with small paper liners. Put a teaspoon graham cracker mixture in liner and press against liner to make a crust. (have crumbs go up side of liner) Spoon tablespoon cheese mixture over crumbs.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool on rack.
Top with cherry pie filling or desired fruit. Keep Refrigerated.

Stuffed Phyllo Triangles-You can buy the spinach and feta ones or make your own.

Mini Quiches-One again you can buy these or make your own.

Olive Tapenade
Creme Cheese and Chutney
Sundried Tomato Pesto and Shaved Parmesean
or anything you like goes well
even brown sugar and brie melted on top

Fried Wonton wrappers with a crab salad-Just fry wonton wrappers-set aside and top with a crab salad, ahi tar tar with sesamee oil

Asparragus spears wrapped in prociuto (sp) Oh and don't buy domestic usa-too salty.

Bread Sticks yum

Smoked Salmon Spread-just pureed smoked salmon and creme cheese-add some chives for an extra kick

Fresh Fuji Persimmons cut in quarters by themselves.

Get food platters from Albertson's or Safeway.

I'm not too sure how its made but couldn't be too hard But Lil Smokey wieners, Bacon, Brown sugar, N toothpicks..
wrap bacon around Lil Smokey's you'll need to cut the bacon down.. stick toothpick threw them to hold and roll/dip brown sugar..

Make sure with tooth pics that you soak them in water over night if not theyll burn in oven.. Put oven on 375 and bake 15-20 min just check the bacn when your done all you have to do is put them on something or in a disposable foil tray and let guest pick them up by toothpics not messy either...

Hot or cold? Or both? I always love a mexi type dip with tortillas. There's always veggies & dip, chips & dip, crackers & cheese & sausage. Meatballs, sausage rolls, spanikipeda, samosas.......the list goes on and on. Don't forget a nice punch!
