Did you ever worry about the cleanliness of the serving utensils at a buffet?!

Question: Did you ever worry about the cleanliness of the serving utensils at a buffet!?
Why doesn't food establishments that have buffets place disposable gloves at the beginning of the buffets!? So many people use all the serving utensils and never wash there hands before they eat, Who knows where the persons hands have been who handled those utensils!. Gloves would eliminate some of that risk!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I know exactly what you mean! personally I think buffets are very disgusting and I never eat at them because of reasons like this!. Not only is what you are saying about the serving utensils true, but think about it: in microbiology to grow bacteria they take a small container with a food source/growth medium for the bacteria to grow on, and then put it in an incubator to help it grow!.!.!. sound familiar!? Like the serving containers with the food in the heat warmer!.!.!. and ALL the people who come through there introducing there germs into the food to grow under the warmer! ick! besides i doubt the gloves would catch on, there is the cost, latex allergies to worry about, etc!. I suggest just not eating at them anymoreWww@FoodAQ@Com

It's a legitimate concern, considering how few people pass by the restroom to wash their hands when they enter a restaurant!.

You could protect yourself by washing your own hands, filling your plate at the buffet, putting it down at your place, and then washing your hands again before beginning to eat!.

An easier way would be to wash your own hands, and then hold a napkin between your hand and each serving utensil!. It might look funny to other people, but if it makes you feel more comfortable, what's the harm!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes, i have!.
i will always put the utensils in the glass of water to clean it before I use it
please rate this good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i look at it and then say wtf!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
