What are ideas for a "fairy" theme birthday for a one year old girl?!

Question:

What are ideas for a "fairy" theme birthday for a one year old girl?

Answers:
no... wait till they are five. When you are one you dont usually have a themed party. Most of you parties are just family members sitting and talking and doing nothing in praticular

I am rasing my 4 year old granddaughter. Tinker bell is the fairy of choice in my area.

lots of pink and pritty lace get lots of children round dressed up as fairys. have pink and white baloons. and of course fairy cakes are essential have fun

Oh, go for it! The birthday girl may not appreciate it now, but she will enjoy looking at pictures of it later.

Fairy cakes are definitely a must! These are simply little cakes (about the size of a bite) with powdered sugar. Fairies would probably eat little things like baby corn, baby peas, baby carrots. Of course, your little fairy will need it well cooked and possibly mashed.

Fairies hate the touch of cold iron, so no silverware allowed -- just finger foods!

You could cut cheeses into flower shapes and also ham, and serve on crackers. (Cheese is OK for a 1-year-old, isn't it? If not, stick with crackers, and maybe flower-shaped fruit or 100 percent fruit preserves for her.)

Good luck, have fun!

One cake and some foods.Nothing big bc baby is too young to know whats going on.That was the way i have done it for little girl

pink things with lots of glitters and make all the little kids dress up as faries with wings etc.. but i don't think she's even remember it but whatever..

Fairy cookies and some fruit shaped as a fairy and a BIG cake shaped as a fairy

That's cute...how about buying or making fairy wings for everyone at the party; You should dress as Tinker Bell and sprinkle confetti; play pin the wings on the fairy; make glittery cupcakes; have Fantasia playing on TV; just remember...she's only 1 so you can't go too wild! Make "fairy bags" out of some shiny material from the store and fill them with small coloring books and crayons, and movie tickets (2 per bag);

Why would anyone worry about a 'theme' for a one year olds party ? Things that make you go HMMMMM.

Don't over do a first birthday. I did for my oldest, she missed most of it because of nap time. The older kids kind of took over my time and entertaining the adults took the rest. Keep it simple, by all means get fairy stuff, but make sure you have the time to hug your daughter on her first birthday at least every 5 minutes.

Birthdayexpress.com has the best all-inclusive party supplies. They come is packs set for 8 with 2 sizes of plates, napkins silverware, streamers, balloons, centerpieces, and more for like 45 or $50. Then you can always add on. I loved it for my 1 year old.

i would hold off for that idea until she is 4, and can really understand what a b-day is. or just go w/ tinker bell.

Unless there are other chidren in the family (siblings or cousins) who would enjoy this, I wouldn't do it. A one-year-old will not know what's going on. Usually for a one-year-old, a family party with parents and any relatives who live nearby is plenty.
