How does my dinner party menu sound?!
I'm having a dinner party on Friday!. This is my menu so far,
Salad:
Chopped romaine tossed with dried cranberries, finely shredded swiss, and topped with thinly sliced pears* drizzled with Lemon Mustard Poppy Seed Dressing!.
*Roquefort or Asian!?
Entree:
Garlic Tofu Alfredo* over Fettuccine!.
Recipe: Silken tofu blended smooth and then cooked with fresh garlic, parmesan cheese, black pepper, and a bit of butter!. Topped with fresh flat leaf parsley!.
*I was also wondering if I should add mushrooms or something to the alfredo!.
Side Dish:
I can't think of what to serve!.
Dessert:
I don't know what to do!. Something simple though!. Any ideas!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Salad: Sounds delish! I'd go for the Asian!.
Entree: Sounds very healthy, try adding, maybe some crakers or lite biscuts, on the side; so it is all not to creamy!
And if you do not wish to have crakers, yes mushrooms would be a great idea!
Side Dish: Try serving mini quiche, they always go good!
Desert: Maybe some soft choclate brownies will do good, seeing as though your menu is very healthy, and with a twist of the chocolate brownies would taste great!
Or you could try a cheesecake, which can be brought from your local bakery or cheesecake shop, they always go great at parties, and the good thing is you have many varieties and flavours to choose from!
Well i hope this helped, goodluck with your Dinner Party, and all the best!

I absolutely love how it's vegetarian!. Sounds wonderful!
For the pears, I do have a love for a good firm asian pear, however steamed pears (warm) served over a cool salad is very pleasing to the senses!.
For your alfredo sauce, I prefer broccoli over mushrooms, because I find they have nicer texture!.
For a side dish, how about a nice sweet potatoe and squash soup!? Very tastey, and looks great with a little sour cream and parsley on the top!.
For a dessert, I would stick with something light!. Angel food cake with strawberries and cool whip!? Or how about a nice tofu pumpkin cheesecake, or pumpkin pie!? An apple pie would be nice too!. Something that's in season will compliment your meal!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The salad sounds good, or the Asian dressing might be nice!. I don't like Roquefort, especially with Swiss cheese!. I do similar salads, but use either drained mandarin oranges (or fresh raspberries or sliced strawberries, sliced red onion, and carmelized almonds, pecans or walnuts (stirfry in sugar until sugar melts & coats nuts) and toss with either balsamic vignarette, or Raspberry-Pecan or Raspberry-Walnut bottled dressing!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
How about if you added some Kalamata olives to the tofu!? !.!.!. You could just have some plain steamed asparagus or broccoli with butter!. The green would look pretty with the tofu, and just butter would go nicely with the Alfredo sauce!.
This is one of my favorite desserts!. Light, easy and yummy!
