What is the best tea to serve at a Holiday Tea Party?!

Question:

What is the best tea to serve at a Holiday Tea Party?

I'm having a number of my lady friends over for Holiday Tea. What kind of tea should I serve?

Answers:
A tea 'buffet'. perhaps?
With a selection of Cranberry, Spice, Orange Pekoe, an herbal tea and a 'chai' to offer a taste for everyone- what fun!

Chamomile is a crowd favorite. You can never go wrong there. Maybe serve 2 different types? Chamomile and green tea? Green tea is good hot or cold.

Earl Grey, hot. Twinings is best.

Chamomile, orange pekoe or the Gunpowder variety from Twinings which has to be boiled and seeped before serving.

Prob chamomile if you want 1 flavor. Why not give them a few choices?
I found a gingerbread tea. It's delicious!

There are so many nice teas out there. Don't limit yourself, get a variety. Your friends will appreciate the choices.

Serve a variety. You can order them from this link and they arrive quickly and are very affordable.

I found Stash Tea when I was looking for a licorice tea which is hard to find. Now I order all my teas from there.

Have an assortment of loose teas and make either empty tea bags (you can get them from most asian markets or where ever they sell loose teas) or loose tea strainers available. This will make your party interesting and you guests will be able to blend their own tea. Not everybody likes what you like. You can also have things like cinnamon sticks, orange and/or lemon rind, sugar sticks, cardimom, cloves, etc.. for more interesting blends. If you have a lot of guests, it could be expensive and messy, but if it's less than 15 it shouldn't be too bad.

As for eats, cookies and finger sandwiches work well. I'm a cookie lover, if you want to bake them yourself, buy one of the magazines that are onthe rack right now with the holiday cookies and at the same time use it as your shopping list. When you are baking the cookies, invite a friend to help you.

You can also get some pillsbury or some other dough (like the cressent rolls) roll it out and press it into small tart molds, and blind bake them off. You can fill them with your favorite filling and your look like a baking pro.

Good luck and have fun.

A nice cinnamon nutmeg tea with assorted Christmas cookies & pastries......Sure to be a crowd pleaser...
