Does anyone have ideas for a West Indian-Mexican wedding anniversary party?!

Question:

Does anyone have ideas for a West Indian-Mexican wedding anniversary party?

I'm having my first anniversary, and I want to have a party for my friends and family because most of them were not at the wedding. I want to have things like roti and borritos, things to show how different but at the same time how similar we are. I have 3 months, please help.

If you like, set up a 'do it yourself' style dinner.. have guests make their own appetizing dinners using rotis, chapatis, tortillas, and nachos as the base. Then have all the typical Mexican and West Indian foods to top off the tortillas, nachos, and rotis with- spicy chicken strips, sizzling ground beef, picantes, salsas, chutneys, yogurt raitas, frijoles, even hummus. For dessert have cool rice pudding or a chopped up fruits in creamy yogurt with nuts. You also must have cake- it's your anniversary. Decorate your venue with brightly colored wall hangings, streamers, and have a pinata too!
