Any birthday party game suggestions for my 10 year old daughter's birthday party?!

Question: Any birthday party game suggestions for my 10 year old daughter's birthday party!?
Answers:
Ask her! She's definitely old enough to decide for herself!. I'd let her choose a theme and run with it!

As long as you have food, cake and ice cream, and decorations then you've got the makings of a party!. Have fun music playing and make up treat bags for the kids!.

Maybe get a pinata, make up a fun scavenger hunt, do an age appropriate karaoke!. Whatever sounds fun to your daughter!

First of all, I would suggest planning more activities than you can possibly have time for!. It's a lot better to have a few you didn't do than to have ten minutes at the end with NOTHING to do!

I would also suggest a combination of moving around and using their heads, if possible both at once!.

Here are a few examples:
Giant Memory Matching Game: This is like the game "concentration", where you have pairs of cards face down, and players must turn them over two at a time, looking for pairs that match!. But to give it more movement, make big cards, the size of a whole sheet of paper, and spread them on the floor instead of a table, with space between rows for the players to walk between cards while they turn them over!. You can easily make cards in the theme of the party by cutting out pictures from magazines or coloring books and glueing or taping them to identical sheets of card stock or construction paper!. You'll need at least two copies of each magazine or coloring book so that you can produce identical pairs!. Four books is even better, in case you have any pictures you want to use that are back-to-back on the same sheet of paper!.

Blindfolded Relay Maze: In a large empty room or in the yard, set up a "maze" with chairs and cardboard boxes as obstacles!. Break the kids into two teams, and each team into two equal groups!. Put half of each team on opposite ends of the maze, and give each team a blindfold!. The blindfold is like the baton in a relay: One player puts it on, then has to get to the opposite end while her teammates help her by shouting instructions!. They can only use the words "Forward, Back, Right, Left!." When she reach her teammates on the other side, the next person puts on the blindfold and goes the other way!. The first team to get all players across wins!.

Pinata: No, it doesn't take much thought, but you can get them in all sorts of shapes now, so you should be able to have one that goes with the theme!.

You get the idea! Move around, do stuff, work together, compete against each other, win prizes!.

Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

One of my favorites for a child that age was having a talent contest singing dancing or whatever they do best, like even reciting poetry or a magic act!. You'd be surprised the ideas a 10 year old can come up with, like one brought their favorite food they made them self to share, and another brought pictures to show they had taken of the birthday girl at places they had went like the mall(smile)!. also one young lady and a few of her friends put on a fashion show and they had a ball trying on the outfits later!. Don't think corny things like popping corn is still not fun!. I'm grandma and have put on many a party or helped for my 10 grand kids and they really had a good time!. Have fun! also when you engage the guest in the activities and barn storm ideas before the party there is less "WORK" for you to do (smile)! Don't forget to have little prizes for the various games like scarfs, necklaces, small bags chocked full of girl stuff like nail polish of a little bottle of Cologne!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My little sister is ten and shes just starting to get into things like play station and stuff, if you have one, games like eye toy, singstar and guitar hero are great at parties!. also, my sister is starting to really personalise her own style of music, it could be cool to play a quiz game where you play an extract of music and whoever can name the most is the winner - the more detail the better!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you get 2 decks of cards and lay one deck out each card face down on a table!. you then put a piece fo candy on each card, just small things then on a few cards put like a big bar of chocolate or somethinbg bigger!. you then get all the kids to sit around the table and share out the second deck of cards between them all!.
then quite simply you chose a piece of candy, and see what card is under it, then whatever kid has that card gets the candy!. tis great cos they all cling hold of their cards hoping they have the one underneath all the good stuffWww@FoodAQ@Com

-birthday bingo!.!.!.they have kid's bingo cards at your local party store, or you could make your own!.
-make up a 'trivia sheet' about your child to give to her guests, whoever guesses the most right, gets a prize!. e!.g- what is "your child's" favorite color, what is her favorite song, Her favorite animal, etc!.

These are just a few things that I have done in the past for my birthday parties!.

hope this helps!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Musical chairs with your daughter's favorite music CD!.
You put like 6 chairs in a circle!.!.!.(facing out), 7 people will play and when the music starts they walk around the chairs!. You stop the music w/o warning and everyone has to sit down in a chair immediately!. The one person left standing is out!. Remove a chair and start again!. Continue until the "winner" is left!. Winner gets a prize!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

A treasure hunt with clues all over the house or neighborhood!.
