Where did Nando's originate?!

Question:

Where did Nando's originate?

Answers:
Nandos was started in South Africa, and strangely enough there is a large Portugeuse population in SA, who brought piri-piri with them and now its peri-peri - does that make sense to you all now?

Portugal.

Peri Peri Yum Yum

Portugal of course!

Nando's famous cockerel landed on Australia's shores in 1990, providing the lucky people of Tuart Hill in Western Australia with a fiery taste of Portuguese-style flame grilled Peri Peri chicken. Nando's has since spread it's wings creating more Nando's addicts as it opened restaurants in Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and New South Wales.

It is our grand plan to continue covering the length and breadth of our great land so that everyone can experience our famous hospitality and great chicken.

South Africa

The origin is in galicia, Spain.

Mzansi!!!

It's commonly believed to be Portugal....but in fact it's South African.

good question, i always thought Portugal, and it bugged me that it was spelt peri-peri chicken, when in fact in Portugal we eat piri-piri chicken. Now i know they weren't wrong, but it is weird that they have adopted the Portuguese symbol of the cockerel and Portuguese colours if in fact it isn't Portuguese?
