Answers:
I would prepare Thai Dungeness Crab in Green Curry!. I'd start with a homemade curry paste!. Then a whole crab is cleaned but legs left attached!. Then the crab body and top shell are filled with a mixture of crab meat, a small amount of ground turkey (for binding) garlic, cilantro & other seasonings!. The extra filling is made into meatballs!. The filled crab is steamed and the meatballs are poached in a sauce made of curry paste and coconut milk!. Then all is artfully arranged, sauced and served with jasmine rice!. Mmmm!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Maybe the person you consider a special guest would like to just have a good home cooked meal like we might cook for our own family!. I find that a good old fashion pot roast is about the best there is!.

Find a good lean roast and cook it in a pressure cooker!. You can cut up some vegetables to go into the cooker with the roast!. Pour 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup over the roast and add 1/2 cup water or milk!. You have the veggies and meat in 1 pot and you can add 1 or 2 more side dishes if desired!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would only cook something I cook well and have cooked before, never something for the first time!. A very special guest is nobody to conduct experiments with!
If you've not experienced pick up a good meal at a local restaurant or have it delivered and re-plate on one of yours!. NOT pizza!

I really like to make a fig marsala sauce with chicken/game hens/rabbit!. The sauce is delicious and it goes great with polenta!.

So I would make that and have a great wine, light dessert, and cheese for an appetizer!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
