What should i bring to the BBQ tomorrow?!

Question:

What should i bring to the BBQ tomorrow?

i'm no cook, and i'm lazy, so i'll have to buy something....but what? i was thinking a cheesecake. what do you think?

Answers:
I think cheesecake is not a wise choice.
It is very high in calories, sugar and fat.
A wise choice would be a healthy choice.
Bring something for the main course.
Example:
Bring some corn on the cob from the market.
After you get to the party you can remove the husks!
You might even get help from some of the guests.
Put the yellow cobs in the microwave and Zap
Voila:
A delicious and healthful addition to the meal.
Serve with a little butter and salt and pepper!
Yummy!
If you are out in the wilds,
Throw the corn in a pot of boiling water!

Spaghetti or Steak is the Best.

Well depending on your situation you want something that can sit out for a while with out going bad.

Bring brownies instead of cheesecake because cheesecake should be refridgerated.

Or you can always bring chips, dip, sodas, bottled water, cups, napkins, plates, or ask the hostess/host if there is anything that they need.

i would bring some kind of dessert

A case of Budweiser

you should bring dessert tomorrow

You can drop the cheesecake off right here!! Then you can bring something like hot apple pie or something to the BBQ.. Thanks!

Sounds great.

Or some type of bread from your grocery store's bakery.... like Jalapeno Cheese Bread, that sort of thing.

Dessert: Cookies from the grocer's bakery area.

fruit is also a good idea

the liquor

Make some cole slaw. You only have to "assemble" it, not cook it.

food. cheesecake would be good. or chips, drinks.

cherry pie and whip cream

Condiments or produce.

Bring some whale blubber!!! Always a party starter!!!

do you have a Costco? if so get the spinach jalapeno dip, unless it is filled with ecoli 0157, then chips are a good option

Man, when I saw the question my first thought was, "Please, don't go buy something. Take something homemade." It seems everyone grabs something at the store on the way to potlucks/BBQ's.

At least you admit you are lazy....*sigh*

A potatoe salad, or a salad. Sounds like fun and I loveee BBQ

fruit bowl, wine, potato salad, chips with dip

You should bring the bag of individual bags of chips. I know it sounds lame, but trust me if there are kids there, it will definitely be a hit, and then you don't have all their grubby little hands reaching into the big bag of chips or a bowl of chips. Generic pop for the little kiddies is great too because you know they all just take one sip, and put the cans down only to open a new one the next time...

How about potato salad and cole slaw from the deli section of a grocery store? And maybe throw in a couple of 2 liter sodas. These are always a safe bet when going to a BBQ.

Try picking up something from the grocery store deli, like potato or macaroni salad.

Nobody would think of bringing punch.
Party Punch
(2 liter) bottle fruit punch, chilled
1 (64 fluid ounce) bottle orange juice, chilled
1 (2 liter) bottle ginger ale, chilled
In a punch bowl, combine fruit punch and orange juice. Slowly pour ginger ale down the side of the bowl to retain carbonation.

I might would pick up some sugar cookies from the bakery too.

Jello for the kids and jello shots for the adults- I just had a BBQ and those were the 2 things that went the quickest!

Desert is a great idea. also you can try a bottle of wine and a box of candy

Assemble a cole slaw, which is simple to do. Brownies...
Jello shooters for the adults are always a hit.
I would rather someone bring something homemade, but not every one can cook, or has the time.

Cheesecake sounds yum...or potato salad

baked beans

Can you make a beautiful tossed salad? Wash all the veggies,Tear up one or two heads of leaf lettuce (red leaf and romaine make a pretty combo), wash it under cold water let it drain for about 10 minutes while you slice up 2 bell peppers of two different colors (red, green, yellow or purple), toss in some cherry tomatoes, slice up a cucumber and a red onion. Toss it all in a bowl and take a large bottle of Ranch dressing and another popular dressing like 1,000 Island, or Italian. Chill salad if you have time. And you have an easy healthy addition for the BBQ at a lower cost than Cheesecake! It's also quick to make about 10 or 15 minutes. And It's home made! But don't add any spinach!

salad beans or pie
