What's an easy but impressive dessert to make without an oven?

Answers:
caramel banana pie!

Make a biscuit base(your own or a packet mix)
Boil a can of sweetened condensed milk for 3 hrs or buy a tin of nestle caramel filling.
Smooth the caramel over the biscuit base.
Cover caramel with sliced banannas.
Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cocoa powder.
Yummo!
Never had anyone turn their nose up at this one - even a friend who hates banannas liked it!

Lime jello with cottage cheese and pinapples in it. MMM my favorite. You can mix fruit cocktail with whipped cream. Add bananas if you like.

Ben And Jerry's ice cream - "Cookie Dough" simple enough!
and the girls like it too!

Get a pound cake. Make lemon pudding. Slice the pound cake into thin slices and put a spoonful of lemon pudding over it. Then garnish with sliced fresh strawberries. If you can--find a pound cake that does not contain terrible ingredients like hydrogenated oils.

Or cut up apples (4) into small chunks. Put in saucepan with 1/4 cup water and cinnamon. When hot and soft add 3 tbsp brown sugar. Serve warm in dessert bowls with a scoop of ice cream right in the middle. It is like apple pie without the crust. Yum!

If you are in the USA (and maybe in other countries, I'm not sure) Jello makes a No-Bake Cheesecake. It comes in a couple of flavors too. You could doll it up with strawberry/chocolate/blueberry sauce or fresh fruit.

Tish's Strawberry Pie
Put one can of thawed Bacardi Strawberry Daiquiri mix, one three ounce block of cream cheese and one can sweetened condensed milk in a mixer and blend well. When it is all together, fold in one eight ounce tub of Cool Whip and pour the whole thing into a boughten large size graham cracker crust. There will be a little extra, just put it in the empty Cool Whip tub or something...it will still be yummy. Put the pie and extra in the fridge for a couple hours. To really make it stand out, before serving put a dollop of whipped cream (Cool Whip) on top and a whole strawberry. It is super simple and really good. Keep refrigerated if there is any left.

You didn't say who your guests were, so here is one of my favorites.
Wine-soaked Cherries and Pears over Pound Cake
(Serves 4)
1 c red wine (the better the wine the better the dish)
1 c sugar
zest of 1 lemon
1 1/2 lb Cherries (when I can't get fresh, I use frozen)
3-4 Pears, peeled and sliced
4 thick slices of pound cake
Softened butter (to taste)
Whipped cream for topping (real)

Combine wine, sugar, and lemon zest in a sauce pan. Stir until sugar dissolves. Add in the cherries. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in pears, and simmer for 5 minutes more. Spread the pound cake with butter and toast to a golden brown in a saute pan. Transfer to a shallow bowl and generously spoon fruit and juice over the cake. Serve warm topped with a dollop of whipped cream.

Enjoy!

Option #2. - 1 pt. raspberries, 1/2 lb. quartered strawberries, and 1 pt. blueberries, about 2-3 tsp. turbinado sugar (turbinado is unrefined sugar) and amaretto to taste, mix them all together and allow the sugar to dissolve for 1-3 hours, stirring occasionally. Toast the pound cake, add a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and then spoon the berry mixture over the top.

There are a LOT of no-bake desserts in the cake isle. Just ck around. Jello has lots and I believe Betty Crocker now has some.

that would be Fruit salad, a combination of fruits toped with cream and cheese plus put a bit of sweet milk to make it sweet.

Duncan Hines has several no bake desserts in the cake mix aisle

Buy an angel food cake cut thru the middle making 2 sections and set second 1 aside now take your fave ice cream and spread it on 1st layer of angel food cake then place 2nd piece of angel food on top and spread more ice cream on it then get 2 cool whips and icing cake with it chill till ready to eat and then slice and add your fav toppings... it is a very good dessert
