What food for a picnic?!

Question:

What food for a picnic?

I am wanting to take my boyfriend out for a big picninc lunch. what sort of food would you suggest i pack?

Answers:
cube some chicken breast and cook it in a pan. Put in the fridge to cool.
Chop some onions, cook lightly, and put in the fridge.
Chop some red/orange/yellow bell peppers, shred some carrot, or cut up whatever vegetables you have handy. Some steamed rice can also be good in there.
Lay chicken and onion in an extra-large tortilla, add some teriaky sauce, veggies, and baby greens. Roll up like a burrito, and wrap in foil.
To eat, peel foil away from top.
OR
Go french style with some pre-sliced baguette or country bread w/thick crust, a selection of french cheese (like creamy blue cheese, brie, goat cheese, swiss, etc... Trader Joe has a good selection), some olives or tapenade (olive spread), brushetta, and a bottle of wine. And dont forget fruits for dessert (like grapes, figs, melon, peaches, plums), or get small french pastries.
This is stylish, easy, healthy, and tasty.

a six pack of beer, and have a pizza delivered to the picnic area. blow his mind for a change.lololol

you could pack some of his favorite foods.and some of yours.every man loves steak, that could be a possibility.and for drinks lemonade with a little umbrella in it would be a nice touch.but that could be corny depending how you look at it.

Fried Chicken, potato salad, baked beans, olives, pickles, sweet peppers, and lots of chocolate chip cookies!

fried chicken, potato salad, maybe beans.....all of this is good cold. you could also do cheese and crackers with wine.....but thats not big though it is romantic. my wife and i will occasionally just grab a loaf of bread some lunch meat and condiments, chips and something to drink and go. we always enjoy it and make the most of our time alone.

Well my favorite is potatoe salad. You could do macaroni salad if you like it, sandwiches are easy. Once i planned a picnic with my husband and had a nice blanket set out with our picnic basket with nothing in it ( he didnt know that though) and i ordered italian food and had it delivered to us in the park. just an idea. You could do KFC through a drive through, most of the time if you ask they give you paper plates, butter silverware and all you would need. Good luck.

try out this website http://www.creativeladiesministry.com/pi...

it will give you some ideas

I say fried chicken, corn on the cob...I'm feelin KFC! LOL

I would bring sandwiches and watermelon. Probably tea to drink and then something for dessert like strawberries.

something simple but nice....maybe some finger sandwiches, chips, and potato salad topped off with some cookies or another simple dessert

Hot Dogs, Fried chicken, Burgers, Steaks,Cole slaw, Potato Salad, Jello,Beer! A big tarp and a blanket; protection! Forget the beans boycott KFC they aren't humane with their chickens!

I would pack something he did not expect. I would take a picnic basket and have a pair of thongs in a tupperware container. I would have some massage oil in a bottle, just marked oil. And I would have a bottle of wine with 2 glasses.

a little cheese (cheddar, swiss) crackers of your liking.... some grapes, luncheon meats, bread, a little spread to go on the bread and...

some wine!

oh a some water, so you have something to keep you cool and hydrated too.

:D

find a nice tree and when no one's around well.... behave yourselves! (ok don't then)

Do something simple, sandwiches, potato salad. chips, cheese and crackers, drinks(champagne?),watermelon or other fresh fruit and all the yummy picnic stuff and dessert! Make sure its something really sweet! lol! good luck!

My boyfriend and I often go on picnics together. We usually take a piece of fruit each, a couple of sticks of kabana, crackers, some camembert cheese or pate, fruit juice, and if we're really hungry we'll get 1/2 a roast chicken, some rolls and salad ingredients and have chicken and salad rolls awell. My boyfriend likes to dip the kabana in the pate - meaty goodness!! If you are going to take these things it would be a good idea to get a refrigerated pack because the meaty things might spoil - and obviously don't leave it in the heat for too long. Have a lovely time - picnics are great : )

Nothing messy like fried chicken or ribs.

I assume a 'cold' lunch.

How about a cold soup, such as gazpacho, sushi, Caesar salad with shrimps, and cannoli for dessert, with white wine or beer of your choice.

Crusty baguette
brie cheese
slice pears
shrimp with cocktail sauce
black forrest ham / dijon on the side
wine or italian soda
and brownies for dessert and some coffee if it's cold out

dont forget some pillows with 2 blankets 1 to sit on the other to cuddle under

I'd go to my favorite deli and get each of us a huge sandwich. That way I can have my toppings and he can have his fave. And hit the olive bar on the way out for a selection of olives. Pack a bottle of wine, (or drink of choice). Don't forget tons of napkins, plastic silverware, cups, a corkscrew if needed. And something to cover the eating surface. If you're on a blanket, you don't want to stain it, and if at a picnic table you don't know *what's* been on that! :)
