What are some good theme ideas for an adults-only, Christmas party?
I'm hosting my 3rd annual martini party in December. I'd like to add a fun twist/theme to this. Any ideas?
Answers:
The Martini's should be the theme. You have a bunch of different recipies or have people bring a martini recipe and the winner gets a prize and everyone else gets tipsy lol
White choclate martini, very yummy Godiva White chocolate liquor Bailey's Iris cream, Vanilla vodka
mix equal parts of the vodka and Baileys and 3 parts Godiva white chocolate. Whoohoooo very very yummy since they look white you can call them a "snow storm"
Depending upon the number of people you're inviting, there are some great murder-mystery party theme (and "scripts") available. . .it's still a fun twist to any party and gets everyone involved! You can find them in game stores and online!
Do dirty things like .... nosepicking, farting and so on.. That is something all adults do when they come together for a party
Have everyone bring one ornament, handmade or storebought, and decorate a "Friends Tree" - it can be a little 3ft tree if your own tree is already fully decorated.
Martinis? Dean Martin. Have everyone dress like the 50's and play Dean Martin music all night long. Suggestions: http://www.amazon.com/martinis-mistletoe...
Anything Rat Pack goes!
You could have a "Santa's Little Helper" theme, and ask people to dress up accordingly. Have a "best costume" game and give out a prize. You could also do a potluck, where everyone brings their favorite Christmas or holiday dish, and have a contest on who has the most creative food dish.
Give each guest the task of buying a small gift for another named guest that they must bring wrapped to the party and put into Santa Claus's sack, then the host can have a laugh handing out the parcels that must be opened in front of the other guests. You may, or may not, be surprised how many G-strings and tassles are unwrapped.
at my friends Christmas party we do a 'secret Santa' thing. but the kind of present we give is very specific. you pick a name and for Christmas you get them their favorite bottle of liquor, or wine. i find its a lot easier to shop for...i know my friend is a big fan of patron. its always fun and you may get away with not having to stock a bar at your party. the presents we get are always opened and used before we get home! good luck!
Around the world appetizer party.
Set up tables with appetizers from different country's. One table could be oriental and decorated accordingly ect.
I have been doing White Elephant Christmas parties for several years. They are a blast and it's only adults that attend. My limit on the gift is $20, but I have used $10 and $15 before also.
Everyone brings a gift already wrapped. No one should know which gift you brought. Make up slips of paper with numbers on them and then each person draws a number.
To start, the person with #1 picks out a gift, opens it so all can see what it is. Then the person with #2 gets to "steal" #1’s gift or chose from those not yet chosen. Person #3 gets again gets to "steal" any already opened gift or chose one of the ones still unopened.
The game continues until everyone has a turn. After the last turn, the person who started (since he didn't get a chance at the beginning) can keep the gift they are holding or "steal" for the last time.
S & M Santas' helpers.
1. What about a 30, 40, 50 themed Christmas party, Go retro.
2. you could go all White or Red, where everything is White or red, even find a recipe for like a white Chocolate Martini, the food would be based on White or red. use very limited other colors,a couple of recipes on the bottom.
I love the idea of the Yankee gift exchange, where everyone brings a gift with not tags and you all pick numbers and someone can take you gift. great idea. I have been to a party where everyone brought a gift to donate to a local charities.
Have a wonderful time.
Naughty and nice. Have people dress like their favorite naughty or nice character and bring their favorite martini recipe.
