Best friend stole my birthday idea!!! need a new one?!
OK, so i planned this awesome party for my 13th birthday!. i was gonna bring 4 of my CLOSEST friends, to new york city!. we would do some Major shopping, and then go out to dinner and that sort of stuff!. once we were ready we would go to a hotel and stay over night!. then in the morning have breakfast in the hotel and then do some activities!. then go home!. i got so excited when i planned this i called one of my best friends and told her everything!. suddenly she says to me that i cant do that idea because she was doing it too!. i asked y we couldn't both do it, and she said because that's lame and my birthdays in 21 days, and yours in 7 months!. considering that i decided that i would try to change my idea a little bit!. so if you guys could please just give me sum ideas to make the parties different, also hotel reconmaditions that are cheap and good for 13 year olds!. also if you could recommend some great activities to do in the city!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

First of all you should not change your bday plans, it's your bday and your friend (who sounds like a dip ****) doesn't own the patent on that idea!. Sounds like you need a new friend!. That kinda sucks that your friend stole your idea!.!.!.I think a cool variation would be to scale down the shopping (still do some, just not as much) and instead spend your money on other activities, like Broadway, maybe a concert, etc!. I did a Murder Mystery Costume party!. Mine took place in the 1920s, so that was cool!. I later did other ones like one that takes place at an artist camp (so we could all dress as creatively as we wanted and in cheap clothes: "starving artists" after all!.!.!.)
You can find some on the internet (some are good, most are not) or you can buy premade kits with your evidence and clues all prewritten and built (I buy kits for mine)!. If you feel creative enough, you have enough time to write one specifically for your friends though!.
These always include an inspector interupting dinner!. The inspector isn't usually a character, just telling them they can't leave (so that everyone can search for the killer)!. If you write it for your friends, you should not be the killer - they may tease about having been made the killer but your being the killer is too easy a guess)!.
You can do this at home!. If you would like to do this at a hotel or restaurant, they may be able to help with delivery!. Actually, most workers will think it's fun! I know a caterer who would ask you to choose between something for that time period or make dishes that reminded you of murder (like red sauces over meat!.!.!.)
also, don't discount a good, old fashioned scavenger hunt! Around town or the city!. You can collect items or make it that people need to take pictures on their camera phones of them at all these places or having found things!.

well idk about going to the city but i will say something thats always fun to do is go to one of those murder mystery dinners, what you do is they have these in NYC im sure and what happens is you will usually dress up in 1920s fashion and go to a dinner party, filled with other people some will be regular people ans some will be actors, you won't know and they won't say,then someone will "die" and it "cops" come and everyone (including you and your friends) have to figure out who done it!.!.!.!.!.!.then you do and solve it and its great fun!Www@FoodAQ@Com
It wont matter if you guys do the same thing!.!.!.Hotel parties are fun and you should be able to do them whenever you want!. Of course you don't have to use the same Hotel or do the same stuff, but you can still make both Birthdays completely different!
I'm not sure what City you live in but there is a Japanese Restaurant called Shabu Shabu, and its really fun with friends, the chef cooks right in front of you and flips the food around and makes Jokes, the food is really good to *Great Stuff*!.!.!.
Depending on your area you could- Laser Tag, Ice Hockey, Bowling, Rent Dirtbikes and go ridding, theme parks, Zoos, the Beach *Surfing*
