Question: Healthy, cheap very informal dinner!?
Does anyone have any ideas for healthier alternatives for stuff like pizza, pasta,garlic bread etc

I'm having a girlie weekend and want healthy, cheap, easy, tasty alternatives please :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Have a baked potato bar!. You can have lots of healthy toppings and every one can have what they want!. Fat free or reduced fat sour cream, shredded cheeses, chopped turkey ham and bacon, broccoli and other steamed veggies, taco meat,lots of good things and every one is happy!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You could use wholewheat pizza-dough, low fat cheese and omit the pepperoni!. Those can make your pizza more healthy!.
Tomato sauce end vegetable toppings are healthy enough - no reason to change that!.

You could serve sushi - or rather serve do-it-yourselves sushi!. It's a fun activity - and a yummy meal!

Good-for-you garlic bread: slices of wholewheat bread, dripped with just a little olive oil, rubbed with garlic and sprinkled with salt an pepper!.

You could also serve crudites - sticks of carrot and cucumber, sugar-snap pea pods, strips of bell pepper etc!. Make a dip of fat free yogurt with salt, pepper, onion powder, a little chili, and maybe some freshly chopped, or dried herbs!.

Alternatively get some fresh brussels-sprouts!. Pick the leaves of, one by one, and place on a serving platter!. Fill with low fat tunasalad (tuna, lemon juice, pepper and fat free yoghurt), and top with a strip of grilled bell pepper!.
You could also fill them with any other kind of dip, spread or salad - f!.ex!. hummus, tzaziki, shrimp-spread, grilled pepper-and-sundried-tomato spread etc!.

This snack-in-a-leaf can also be done with small romaine lettuce or endive (the non-curley kind, sold in small heads like romaine)!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Why don't you try Greek!? It's healthy, easy, cheap and tasty!.
I love Tsatziki - the famous cucumber dip that goes with everything, also Souvlaki - Those sticks of meat served in or without a pita bread and a great salad - Xoriatiki!.

You will find all the ingredients in any big supermarket and it's dead easy to put together!.
