Good place for a small company holiday party?!

Question:

Good place for a small company holiday party?

We are about 25 people- not big enough to get a private room but kinda big for most places to take a reservation from on a Friday night. Want something fun! In San Diego area if anyone has a local idea :)

Answers:
Call around to some of the local 'nicer' restaurants. Many have private rooms or areas that can be separated off that they will reserve for holiday parties. They they will do a catering type menu or you can choose a few entree ideas for the guests to choose from. My cousin just had her rehearsal dinner at a local Italian place on a Friday night and that's what they did. They typed up a flyer with the menu choices, had a cash bar (guests paid for their own liquor, but you could always work that out) and other drinks provided and the restaurant moved several tables together on one side of the restaurant. It started around 8:30 pm, so it was a little after the dinner rush, and worked well. Do you have a Bahama Breeze nearby? They have the round fire pit enclosed veranda areas that would work really well, too!

Someones house

my house is too big..so come on baby !!
but guess where am i?!!!

Well, I'm in CT so I can't help you with the particulars of where in your area you should go, but last year our boss took us out for drinks and appetizers at one of our customers restaurants, then he took us all to a comedy show. What a great time we all had. The comedy club tix were approx $15 each.

Then another time, we went to this Chinese restaurant. The food was served buffet style and there was a polynesian holiday show. That was fun too. Then it was back to someone's house for the after party!

Hope you find something good to do. You better hurry, you are running out of time!!

We had a great company Christmas party at a Greyhound racing track. It had a private room with a great view of the track with a betting table right in the room. They served a buffet style meal and had someone explain the betting procedures to us, for those who were unfamiliar. They even brought up a Greyhound - they adopt out the ones who are no longer racing (they make great pets, by the way). It was nice because we could just sit and chat if we didn't feel like betting. That specific thing might not work for you, but I highly recommend finding something that allows people to do their own thing to a degree.

Okay, I went looking and found a place in the Gaslamp Quarter called Jolt'N Joe's. It's a sports bar/ beach bar/ restaurant/ pool hall/ etc. To quote their website:

"Book Jolt’n Joe’s for a memorable private or corporate party of from 20 to 600 revelers, or just drop in and sink some balls, anytime."
