A fun place to go is the McMenamin's Edgefield in Troutdale. They have a brewery, distillery and winery. They have 3 different bars. 2 restaurants, and a movie theater. They have various bands playing on the weekends. It's cheap to stay over and you don't have to drive anywhere. A great place for a bunch of people to book an overnight party. They even have "hostel" type arrangements for $30 per person.
