Question:

Ideas For New Years Partyyy???

me & my friends are planning a party for new years eve. we want too make it fancy but not TOO fancy. & stay within a good budget .. anybody have any ideas for food, decorations, anything? i have a basic idea of how its going to be, just thought i would get a little bit more ideas! :o) thanks!

Answers:
Have a New Years Eve Cocktail Party. Serve Champagne, Chicken Skewers, Mini Dumplings, Cheese Bites, Chocolate fountain with fruit. You could also hire someone to produce a miniature ice sculpture of a glitter ball just like the one they have in New York or hire a band/singer to entertain the guests. For decorations you could decide on a festive floral display or have balloons and confetti with party poppers. You could also decide to have mood lighting or laser strobes to create a atmospheric effect. Also you could give out quality party favors to your guest to thank them for coming. Have fun!!!

It should be on or after Jan. 1

Have a Clambake - totally fun and great food combine in a large steamer - a variety of shellfish, with clams, mussels, root vegetables, corn on the cob, lemons and Old Bay seasoning. Serve hot with Sour Dough bread wines and beers. Play dance music and have fun!

dip sandwich

Have everyone bring something to the party representing things that (s)he is giving up beginning 1/1/07. Make a pile of these things (outside of course) and set them afire at midnight.

well me im having a party.. i want it to be fancy but not too much ..so i thought the theme 1920 socialite.. a black and white party..tell all your guess that they wear black and white.. i am going to make black and white mask for each guest. i am making "fancy" food i got off of www.foodnetwork.com i am vegetarian but my friends aren't so i mixed it up a little bit. i also am making homemake orange cranberry vodka for the party but also as a party favor.. all my recipes come from that website. it is the best very simple and very chic... i hope you guys have fun
