When you go to a cookie party do you package each persons cookies separately?
Answers:
Yes. It's always nice to separate them. You can do it cheap using colored saran wrap.
What in Sam Hill's a cookie party?
I don't...I bring them on a platter, and the host of the party usually provides bags or containers for everyone to fill with their assortment. You could always bring little bags if you wanted to!
Not the ones I have been to. You show up with a bunch of cookies, then everyone lays out their cookies, then people take a few of each, in a mix and match fashion to get what they want and like.
I say yes, if a person doesnt like a particular kind of cookie it allows them to pay it forward to someone else without offending the baker. Also i dont want anyone else pawing my food or desert.
Hope this helps
Whats a cookie party-everyone bakes a type of cookie to provide all of the attendees with their own sample (these days some people have gourmet cookie parties where they buy exotic cookies and share)
I think I would
Probably just with some festive glad freezer bags...
I've always been a sucker for cookies, but between holiday shopping, parties and travel, my boys and I never get to bake the mounds we dream of.
So when my friend Peg invited us to her "cookie swap," we signed up pronto.
"I'm asking six friends to each bring six dozen of their favorite cookies," Peg said. "We'll swap them at the party and take home a dozen of each kind."
When we arrived at the party, we found Peg's dining room table transformed into the North Pole Bakery--candy cane cookies hung from bowls, sugar-dusted treats filled old-fashioned jars and gingerbread men winked from Santa platters.
Peg quickly gathered everyone together, passed out boxes and lined everyone up to begin the cookie exchange.
"Start swapping," she said. "I don't want a cookie left in sight!"
After a flurry of trading, we headed home--our tins brimming with cookies. Sleepy, well fed and bursting with ideas for our own cookie swap, we had loads of recipes for some very merry baking.
Not necessary, if everybody put their cookies in different dishes and let others have free choice.
