Who created the Fortune Cookie? I guess, whoever created the fortune cookie concept, if he patentend the thing, He will be rich now since almost every chinese restaurant is serving fortune cookie as a token of appreciation.

And indeed they have been serving them for decades. I'm sure he is probably rich and buried.

Makoto Hagiwara of Golden Gate Park's Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco is said to have invented the cookie in 1909.

Well the fortunes you find in them are inserted AFTER the cookie is baked while it's still soft. the guy who created them is Edward Louie

first served in Golden Gate park Japanese Tea Garden.
