Absolutely and that makes the recipe lower in fat and cholesteral.Any where eggs are used, you can sub.the egg-beaters----except in deviled eggs.(ha-ha)

Sure can, that's what they're for!

You should be able to. I mean, they're both egg products.

No not unless the recipe calls for it.

im not understanding the question... are you asking if you can substitute the egg beater, the metal whisk, for an actual egg?

yes and the equivalency is listed on the egg beater's carton

In my experience egg beaters taste like garbage compared to real eggs, I can only imagine if you interchange real eggs with them in a recipe, that it will have the same effect.

Theoretically yes you can substitute it, would a chef that cares about taste and texture do it, no.

For cooking, the answer is "maybe". It really depends how much of it is being used and for what. EggBeaters really are terrible in taste and texture. I would avoid using them if possible. If you are trying to lighten up, just use half of the yolks.

For baking, absolutely not. Baking is a science, and EggBeaters are almost science-fiction. It just won't work at all.
