You guys probably can't answer this.. but it's worth a try.?
My boyfriend is sick and I want to make him soup. What creavite thing could I use to put it in so I can take it to his house?
Answers:
I assume you mean container wise? Don't you have Tupperware bowls with a lid, or a thermos or even the Rubbermaid bowls or containers with lids, they sell them everywhere and you get like 3 bowls for 3 bucks. Do you have even a travel coffee mug?
Don't worry about keeping it warm if he doesn't have a microwave he certainly has a stove and a pan, right?
You don't give us much credit for understanding your question yet all you had to do was say what type of container can I use? Simple and then you don't insult those of us trying to help. See how that works?
And to irritating Irina C above, wow, can we say cut and paste. Stop wasting space when you didn't even understand the question.

To keep soup warm?
How about an ice bucket?
Some kind f container with a lid. dont fill it too much though or it might spill out ;) AND you can make him a nice cup of tea with honey and ginger in it. that does the trick :D
Start with chopped onion, celery and carrotts and saute in large pot with 1tblspn olive oile and 1 tbls butter.
Add 1 strip (or two... or three) bacon cut into peices. (men love bacon)
After 5 minutes add 1 clove garlic chopped.
Add 5 cups or so of chicken broth (preferably low sodium)
bring to boil..
Add one potato peeled and cut into medium cubes.
Cook on high for 5 minutes and then lower to simmer.
add a touch of cream and stir.
simmer untill potatos are cooked through.
Seve with chopped green onions, shredded cheese.
Maybe you can make the soup in your crock pot - plug it back in at your boyfriend's place, to keep it warm all day. I'll leave the creative part to you, as to how you'll transport the pot so it won't tip over!
try a thermos.... if you want to keep it warm that will do it
ummmmm. how about a bucket. tin tiriiiii
get a container with a lid duh
I know they cost a little but, at one of the Deli's here in Tx., they serve soup in a bread bowl. It looks really nice and I have seen the same in grocery stores...
Good luck, I hope he gets to feeling better...
This is what I do, and it makes people feel better all the time. Take a rotisserie chicken that's already been prepared @ the market, and pull all the meat off. Very easy, just use your hands. In a large heavy pot, heat up the carcass on medium for about 5 minutes, then add 4 cups of water & 4 cups of chicken broth. Add 3 sliced carrots & 1 medium chopped onion, as well as 2 chopped celery sticks (including the leaves), 2 bay leaves & 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. Black pepper & salt to taste. Cover and simmer on low for 20 minutes. Remove carcass & discard. Taste for seasoning. Add pulled chicken meat & the juice of 1 lemon. Don't bother w/ rice or noodles, they just get soggy & overcooked anyway. This soup is a "never fail". The lemon juice and the cayenne will help him breathe a little better & it gives the soup a little "kick". cheers! :)
Serve it w/ some nice crusty bread on the side.
a wine caraf
you could go to a medical supply store and find something odd to put it in, such as a new ( and clean) bedpan. A nurses uniform for you, while serving, from your local Victoria's Secret wouldn't hurt either. LOL
Don't feed him soup when he's sick. He'll just puke it up. Bake him some homemade bread with some hone butter. Less likely to puke up.
You can take it in a Rubbermaid container the key to it all is in the serving get a vase and put a rose in it ..find a serving tray and a big funny mug to put his soup in Then go to his house and set up your tray and serve him his soup!
If it is chicken soup - I would do a chicken themed basket. Put the soup in a Mason jar, include crackers, apple sauce and some juice. Stick in a rubber chicken or a stuffed chicken. It would really be cute. I would also stick in a magazine or book to read, and/or maybe a hand held game like poker or solitaire.
Hope he gets to feeling better.
Ha ha ha. The bed pan idea was cute but I can't imagine anyone actually eating the soup after the idea of it. If I were you I would go get a cookie jar with a lid.....maybe a chicken cookie jar or something (they are easy to find since a rooster in a kitchen is supposed to be good luck).....then fill it with chicken soup.....THEN...tie a bow around the lid or handle or something and hang a thermometer off it (a cute nurses costume to deliver it wouldn't hurt either LOL)
broccoli, cheese, fish, mushroom, some pepper, salt, olives, persley, abocado.
If your boyfriend is a kid at heart then go to the kid's section and find a fun thermal, LIke Superman, or He-man. Maybe even Nija Turtles. Even though he's sick He's still your superman. Something cornball and cute... and it comes with a cute lid.:) He can have it forever and always and it will always make him smile. Hope he feels better! When men are sick they act like it's the end of the world and You better spoil them as good as their Mom did..LOL! That's how my husband is.
if you have absolutly nothing to put it in, cool it and put it in a zip lock baggie, re heat it at his place when you get there. not too creative, but in a pinch it works.
