What about sausage cheese balls?

honey baked ham.

Making bread is easy - you can get bread mixes at your local grocer. How about a simple pasta dish? Most spaghetti sause jars/cans have recipes on theirs sides, as do the soup cans.

Baked mac and cheese , its not that complicated. lol

Bring a bottle of wine.

If you want to bring an easy dessert, try this if you have Costco! Get a package of the huge eclairs from the bakery, NOT the frozen ones. Melt together equal amounts of chocolate chips and cream and a touch of vanilla. Pour over the top of each eclair as you are ready to serve them!

jello cake, make a white cake, poke small holes in when cake is done with a fork, cook your favorite jello up and while it is hot pour it on the cake. put in the fridge for 2-4 hours . cover it with cool whip . it is so yummy and easy

a pumpkin pie is always good. or you can toss a salad. very easy, just get a prepackaged bag of greens and chop some fresh veggies into it. bring along the croutons and dressing on the side and you'll have a great fresh salad

if you're going somewhere, you could ask the host/hostess if there's anything in particular they want you to bring.

you could do a fruit type salad or say one that i always use and is a hit and easy to make is a shrimp salad. you take a box of pasta shells the little ones cook aldinta and at the same time cook your shrimp say about a half pound not real big ones now. and also have a bottle of red vinaigrette salad dressing when shrimp and pasta is done put in a bowl mix together with a few chopped onions and celery and the dressing and mix together. talk about good and easy.

I suggest a simple pasta dish and throw in some vegetables such as bell pepper, mushrooms and zucchini into the sauce.

Do something different with a traditional chocolate cake by doing three layers with raspberry jam in between and drizzle chocolate icing on the top and down the side.

Enjoy the festivities!

I took think that a pasta dish is the safest, whether it's mac n cheese or some kind of spaghetti. I would suggest looking up some Rachael Ray recipes- you might even find something better to bring than pasta.

try this... the ingredients sound odd, but it is really good...
Jello Fluff
1 regular package of jello (I prefer Cherry or Strawberry)
1/2 of a tub of cool whip
1/2 of a small tub of cottage cheese
1 cup small marshmallows
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 can of fruit cocktail
mix it all together and chill
don't cook the jello, put it in dry
you can use double this recipe to use up the other half of the ingredients, but it makes a LOT.. like 4 quarts.

Find out what type sides aren't already "taken" & go from there. Depending on who usually brings what, you could do honey glazed carrots, green bean casserole ( the recepie is in every magazine ad this time of year ) homemade coleslaw, deviled eggs, etc....Or you could go to your local bread bakery & purchase an assortment of rolls or a nice dessert ( I'm in Ga & I can purchase a nice dessert for about 10 - 12 bucks - I'm talking homemade....) Enjoy your first Christmas married....

Flowers (i.e. Poinsettias) or wine. Some folks may already have an elaborately planned dinner. Bringing more food might insult the host/hostess. If it's a fancy dinner, you could bring a fancy bakery cake/dessert.

I know everybody thinks they know how to make the" green bean casserole"...but they don't.
This is what you can bring:
MICHIGAN green bean casserole.
2 cans of green beans
1 can of cream of celery soup
1 can of cheddar cheese soup
1 can of French's fried onions

Layer the1 can green beans,
1/2 can of celery
1/2 can cheddar
1/2 can onions
one more layer with the rest
bake in the oven @375*
for 1/2 hour
It's the best green bean casserole there is.
You can double if there is a lot of guest

cheesecake
Chocolate pie

usually any type of pasta dish is welcomed! Ghoulash is simple, inexpensive and serves quite a few people...vegetable trays with various dips...nachos/cheese/salsa...a... casserole or tray type foods go well at dinner parties

How about a nice cheese and cracker platter? Or with pate? Or go with simple and just bring chips and pop. Wine is good. Toss salad is easy enough. A nice macaroni salad is easy too. My mother puts crab and shrimp in hers.

spinach dip and sourdough bread. its always a hit

Well it really depends on what everyone else is bringing but a nice veg tray with some ranch dip. Can't go wrong with a veg tray or some steamed mixed veggies with a little lemon butter on them! www.foodtv.com

how about deviled eggs that is easy and yummy just go to foodnetwork.com for the recipe.

EGGNOG, AND A GLASS

Honey Baked Ham. This recipe is nice & simple:

These are always a hit with my family

Sausage Cheese Balls

3 cups all-purpose baking mix

4 cups KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese

1 pkg. (16 oz.) frozen turkey sausage, thawed

1/2 cup milk

PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Mix all ingredients in large bowl until well blended. Form mixture into 1-inch balls.

PLACE on lightly greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan.

BAKE 23 to 25 minutes or until browned and cooked through. Serve warm.

Go back to page 1 and go to the question, Potluck at Work. I told her or him of a vegetable salad that is so easy and everyone seems to love it. Never have any leftovers and a lot of people beg me to make if they are coming over for dinner.
