We are having a James Bond theme for our works Xmas Party...?!

Question:

We are having a James Bond theme for our works Xmas Party...?

Any ideas for dresscode? I don't know anything about James Bond. I have a long black dress, would that be ok? I would also like ideas for the evening, ie: games, food etc. thanks

Answers:
if you want to be truly bond then you must have it a casino party. many places in every town rent card tables to accommodate this and formal dress where. There is even a CD you can down lot called the best of bond that has all the bond soundtracks not just the one from octopussy by James Barry and to top it off you must have a table in the middle with place teaching Baccarat, Bonds favorite game of chance. serve vodka martinis, "shaken not stirred" even though they taste worse that way. but have fun. Have a contest with a door prize. the best blond Bond wins the door prize and vote only after people are ripped., I love planning parties its a gifts but you do what you want to do, I just guarantee mine will be a blast!

Dress I would have quite formal. evening gowns for the ladies, tuxes for the men. games could be things like poker and roulette. id rename some of the drinks after bond monies too, ie vodka and cranberry could be from russia with love etc..have fun

Go as Bonds Bint, naked, but painted all over in gold paint!

k then we (not too late later....)do the sex part too with all your girlfriends,all at once and if I really like some,one at a time or better still twosome..yes....i like that,where would like to hold the party...

for an outfit where a black dress makeup your hair all done up and carry round a virginya slim. go a lil heavy on the eyeliner too seems to be a running trend with bond girls. games could inclued black jack (played alot in the movies) or find out how to make you own poppers (the kind that you use for new years) and make a game up about rushin rulet. food make junk fod seem classy so people eat it but it stil fits the trend think more finger food. all the rest i can think of is have some one do some huge intrance thing think like driving a nic sports car into the building or somthing whereing a tux and sunglsses. (also some how coming down from the roof like on a zip line would work.

hope this helps

That sounds fine go all glamorous add lots of sparkle! could where long black gloves! where your hair up in a beehive if u have long hair or you could slick it back! The third link is really good gives ideas of what can be done for the evening!

If you want to be a Bond girl you should wear something as revealing as possible.

Or you could dress up as (Dame) Judi Dench and go as M.

Try the Bond site: http://www.mi6.co.uk

black tie, or even bow ties, for the men, then seriously sexy and slinky evening gowns for the women.

If you can risk the time, depending on the party is watch a couple of the Bond movies from the 60s (ThunderBall & Goldfinger) and choose from there. Long black cocktail dresses are fine as Bond likes to play Baccarat in any casino that will have him so black is de rigeur. As for games why not have a casino night for charity, and get someone to organise that for you, don't know what your budget is but it could get pricey. Food always canapes at a party, try dim sum as well as the standards and possibly sushi. Hope this helps

WEAR.. damn it = to WEAR clothes or evening WEAR
WHERE = placement of something
WERE= as in werewolf
WE'RE =short for WE ARE.

Plunging necklines and lots of cleavage, big hair, stilettoes. Bond likes simple but elegant meals that he can prepare for the ladies in a hurry. He is a simple man in a world of money and evil, so, red meat. Maybe raw.

go as a premium bond as for games just get every body drunk quickly and you wont need to bother with them

Dress: Formal, playful and sexy. But not so sexy you get arrested. Remember it is t work function. Games, I would think card games, poker gambling etc. Drinks: martini's shaken not stirred.

Food: Prime rib, very English. anything stylish and upscale.
