Okay, i need some food item ideas for a banquet. Any ideas????
We are having a youth banquet and we want all of our foods to relate to the Christmas story somehow.
We already have
Shepherds Pie
Angel Food cake
Angel hair spaghetti
Ceaser Salad
and a few others.
We need appestizer ideas, drinks, soups, etc.
Any ideas will be greatly helpful

you could make apple snicker salad- you take granny smith apples cut to bite size with peeling on, then take snickers and cut bite size and mix together with cool whip. (My home ec. teacher made this for us during X-mas) Its something quick and easy, that can be made for a lot of people.
Lamb's tail cocktail:
2 parts vodka
1 part apple cider
soda water
1 tsp sugar
2 red grapes
1 slice star fruit
In a tall glass, combine fruit and sugar. Add ice, vodka, and cider then top with soda.
Or take a 2 ltr bottle of Sprite and combine with a 1 ltr bottle of orange juice and 500ml pineapple juice in a punch bowl. Add ice, grapes, and slices of star fruit for a non-alcoholic drink and call it the Star of Bethlehem Punch! Merry Christmas!
Slice & peel some star fruit for a fruit tray with sliced apples and cottage cheese. There you have the so called forbidden fruit & cottage (or inn).
Make some gingerbread men with crowns for the wisemen.
