Any recipe ideas for Christmas and Thanksgiving?!

Question: Any recipe ideas for Christmas and Thanksgiving!?

Please try to leave an answer for both!.

My dad passed away in March of this year and it's going to be so hard on the holidays!. This is my son's 2nd holiday of each, we just moved back to our home state last November, so I would like to contribute to this years dinners!. My mom isn't up for cooking because of all the deaths in our family lately, so I would really love to help her this year!. Please help! I really don't know what to make!. She's doing the turkey I know!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hmm!.!.!. for thanksgiving I would make something like brussel sprouts that you've fried in a pot with onions till they are somewhat soft, then put them in an oven with some walnuts, or you can make craberry jelly which you just buy a bunch of cranberries, fill a pot with the cranberries and enough water to cover, boil and they begin to pop, then strain and add 1 cup of sugar for 1 cup of juice, you can make a pumpkin pie which just requires pumpkin pie in a can, pumpkin pie seasoning and a premade shell, you can do things like mashed potatoes and such!. For Christmas, if you want to handle the big dish, you can make an orange glazed ham (you can email me for the recipe if you'd like) and you can have everyone bring sides!. You can also make a cake if you're really going all out!. I've found that my pineapple coconut cake is pretty popular!. White frosting on the outside with coconut on the sides and pineapple bits in the frosting make it taste wonderful!. You should also supply the drinks like a punch or something!.Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!

P!.S!. Perhaps you're fathers favorite dish during the holidays might help with the loss!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
