Danish smorgasbord involves many recipes. I've found a couple for you to review. Have fun.

Having visited Denmark and eaten at Oscar Davidsons, "smorbrod" is more a term for sandwiches than a meal.

Bord meaning bread and smor mean more in the way of dressed, the word smorgasboard is a englisg translation, we have just adapted to the form of a large table spread with a various amount and variety of foods.

I was a chef, fromally trained and worked in Canada for 20 yr, and did my share of buffet and other themed dinners. If you looking to have a Danish style buffet, anything can be used, I am partial to duck, venison and fish dishes, cold meats, salads, herrings, pickles and if hot food is prepared, vegetables and potatoes can be served.

Get some ideas by Google searching or do a Yahoo seacrh here for inspiration.

Herrings in sour cream
Boiled potatoes
Beef, sliced very thin, served with horseradish sauce
Cracked crab
Bread & butter (that's what smorrebord means)
