Question:

Money is really tight this year. Looking for cheap ideas.?

Answers:
try buying bulk, clip coupns and buy second hand.you can also go to flea markets and yard sales.

Cheap ideas for what? Meals? Gifts? Dating? Decorating your house? Need to get a little more specific here.

Try going the homemade route. Baskets of homemade bread and sweet breads with jellies, etc. Something you knit or crochet. If you work with wood, maybe a simple lawn decoration or a plaque for the home. Lots of ideas out there - check out some websites for handmade gift ideas.

If your buying for more than one child a board game would be nice. They can play it together. Kids really don't do to much of that any more. You could do the same for couples, maybe they like wine. I learned that a great bottle of wine does'nt have to be expensive. You can always find Black Tower on sale for under say 10 bucks. Hoag is also a good white wine. Look for the sales.
If you not sure ask for help. Buy things that everyone can enjoy together.

Do not carry a balance on your charge cards, i.e., pay off all charge cards monthly.
If your company has a matching 401K, always put in the max. If you don't do this, you're choosing not to accept money from your company.
Arrange a Christmas dinner with friends/family where you go out to dinner instead of exchanging gifts. That way you are sharing time together, and everyone pays for their own meal. Saves money and time looking for gifts.

Cheap ideas for what? Meals? Check out local bulk stores (costco, etc) and save money that way. . .If you mean for gifts, then try to make something homemade!

i assume ur talking about food. buy turkey breast instead of the whole bird. bulk stores are great for everything especially juice mix.
presents: make them gingerbread houses are great, cookie mix in a jar, check out www.marthastewart.com and www.familyfun.com they have tons of get ideas most cities have a shoe string budget website that will connect you to warehouse sales near you.

Well Clip coupons, go to sales, get only what you need and you should be fine. . . -.-

Home baking or gifts in a jar or chichia pets that grow hair
crafts that you make.
try and personalize the gift to the person
-likes fishing? buy tackle pieces
-likes baking? buy baking supplies
-likes gardening? buy hand tools and seeds
-likes walking? buy insoles
-likes birds? buy birdseed and book
get the idea?
good luck!!!

buy lottery tickets

I think you do have to give a little more information like are you married do you have kids do you have inlaws or are you single and this is just for the family, cuz if you are single little homemade coupons like an hour of babysitting or yardwork or how about good for one free snow shovling or if you are planning to spend a little money picture frames are always good and so are homemade goodies.
