If you were to attend an informal cocktail party, what types of food would you like to see there?!

Question: If you were to attend an informal cocktail party, what types of food would you like to see there!?
We're hosting a small gathering for our new neighborhood, and there will be about 15 couples!. I'd like some things people can eat while just hanging around, talking!.

I'm looking for something better than chips/dip, but not too messy or anything that requires alot of attention by the host!. I want to enjoy my company rather than being stuck watching the food the whole time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Here's a great menu

Crockpot meatballs
Hummus and pita bread or spinach dip w/ hawaiian bread
Fresh fruit (grapes/strawberries or fruit platter
Veggies (broccoli, carrots, celery, etc/ w/ dip (ranch dressing-you can put this inside of a pretty gourd or acorn squash that is cut in half
Chicken wings (Buffalo or bbq-put in a crockpot to keep it warm
Mini Quiches
Cheese and Crackers
Olives/ small pickle gherkins
Dessert -mini desserts or a cake

Here's a recipe for the meatballs
1 bag frozen meatballs (40 to 50 count)
1 (16 oz) jar grape jelly
1 (8 oz) jar chili sauce or cocktail sauce
Put all ingredients in in crock pot and cook for 4-6 hours (depending if you do low or high setting

If you don't have someone to man the drinks just do wine, beer, and maybe a drink mix for martini's or daquri

I have had great success with mini desserts in shot glasses or small wine goblets!.

Take a plain cheesecake and use a small melon baller or cookie scoop to scoop one or two small balls in the cup and top with various toppings or leave plain and let guest top it themselves!.

Same thing with a moist cake, just cut small chunks of cake and serve in the glasses!.

People love this, because the dessert portion is so small, it means they can try more than one dessert without feeling like a pig!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Biquick sausage balls are always a hit!. I made these the other day and they disappeared fast! Easy recipe, 3 cups bisquick mix, 2 cups sharp shredded cheddar cheese, one pound breakfast sausage, hot/spicy!. Mix by hand until all the bisquick is incorporated!. Roll into small balls and place on cookie sheet!. Bake at 375 for about 20 minutes!. Yummy!Www@FoodAQ@Com
