Whether you are 3 or 103, I don't know ANYONE who doesn't love these lace cookies! They are a thin sugar cookie that are elegant and this recipie makes four dozen! They are perfect for parties!

FRENCH LACE COOKIES

An easy recipe for a famous cookie. The thin batter is transformed, in baking, into a crisp round with open spaces resembling lace. The rolled-up version is popular in Sweden; cooks there roll the warm cookies around a piece of broom handle. 1 c. nuts, finely chopped 1/2 c. corn syrup 1/2 c. shortening 2/3 c. brown sugar, packed
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Measure flour by sifting. Blend flour and nuts. Bring corn syrup, shortening and sugar to boil in saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; gradually stir in flour and nuts. Drop batter by level teaspoonfuls about 3 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet. (Bake only 8 to 9 cookies at a time.) Bake 5 to 6 minutes; remove from oven and allow to stand 5 minutes before removing from baking sheet. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.

Note: Do not use self-rising flour in this recipe.

Please try them! They are absolutley incredible and you will recieve TONS of compliments if you do it right, guaranteed!

Easiest dessert and yummy - . 1 box of RITZ crackers, 1 can of eagle brand condensed milk, 1 bag of SKOR pieces and 1 bag of milk choc chips. (both available in the baking aisle)

Crush crackers and mix with skor pieces and condensed milk in a large pam sprayed bowl. Then pop in long rectangular pan (pam sprayed) and pop in the oven @ 350 for 20 min. Take it out, throw on choc chips, put back in oven til chips are melted. Then pull out and take a knife and spread choc chips. Refridgerate then cut into small squared! So good!

If its a holiday party Ive seen of tv where they made a round double layer white cake with white frosting and covered it with coconut ..When they were done they bought some fake holley leaves with the holly berries ind put it in the center of the cake looked real nice and good to..

cheesecake or pumpkin pie. Don't foret the whip topping.

Oh, these are SO good and very popular and fairly easy to make, however they do contain a small amount of alcohol.
Bourobon Balls
1 large box vanilla wafers, crushed
1/2 cup unsweatened cocoa powder
1 cup chopped nuts (I like pecans or walnuts)
2 Tbsp Karo syrup (corn syrup)
1/2 cup bourbon
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Mix wafers with cocoa and nuts. Disolve Karo syrup with bourbon; blend all together. Chill. Form into small balls; roll in powdered sugar. Chill for 2 hours.
Yield: 2 1/2 dozen balls

NOTE; also very good with Brandy instead of bourbon.

spinach and artichoke dip

I recently bought a Marie Callender's apple crisp. It took a while to make (in time, not effort), but it was super delicious. Probably get about six servings. Don't forget the vanilla ice cream!

Buckeyes Recipe
This candy is made with peanut butter, chocolate chips, and other ingredients. Allow about an hour for chilling time.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup creamy peanut butter
4 ounces plus 3 tablespoons softened butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 1/2 to 4 cups confectioners sugar, about 1 pound
1/2 cup very fine graham cracker crumbs
3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
PREPARATION:
With a wooden spoon or large mixer with paddle attachment, beat peanut butter, butter and vanilla until smooth. Slowly stir or beat in confectioners' sugar and graham cracker crumbs. Mixture will be dry, but will hold together when shaped into balls.
Shape mixture into 1-inch balls; place on wax paper lined cookie sheet and chill in freezer or until firm.
Melt chocolate chips over hot water. Spear a peanut butter ball with toothpick or dipping fork and dip ball into the chocolate to cover most of it. Place chocolate side down on cookie sheet. If desired, leave the top uncovered to resemble the Ohio buckeye nuts. If desired, drizzle more butter over the balls to fill in gaps made by toothpick or dipping fork. Refrigerate buckeyes for about 2 hours or longer, or until the chocolate is set. Store buckeyes tightly covered in refrigerator or freezer.

Makes about 5 dozen buckeye candies.
