Party Planners- HELP-- Fairy Theme Party for a 5year old.?
I am planning a mini "Fairy Birthday Party" for my 5 yr old for January. It's just gunna last for about 30mins because it will be done in school. And there are only going to be 10 kids and some teachers. ^_^
So I would like to ask you guys out some of your ideas that would go with the party theme:
-invitation ideas?
(i have no idea! hehe)
-food?
(im thinking cupcakes with flowers. more ideas anyone?)
-games or activities?
(short and simple ones)
-party favors
(i was planning to give them a baby flower to take home & care)
im so hecked up at work and im really confused.
Thanks for all that can help. ^_^

If you have a short book about fairies (with good pictures) - ask if it could be read to the children. I would buy the small silvery gift pouches that being sold right now for Christmas - they usually are sold six for about 1.00. In these little pouches I would put "fairy dust" made up of glitter and some of those little tiny confetti stars. They I would give each of the fairies some fairy wings (these are sold at Dollar Tree - 1.00 a pair) if you can afford them. If not - I would buy some silvery pencils and some curling ribbon in silver and gold, and cut some strips of ribbon (maybe ten for each wand) and tie them or hot glue them on the end of the pencil - and call these your fairy wands. Get a package of silvery star stickers and stick at least one or two stars on each child's cheek, face or hands - these are "fairy marks". These are your party favors - a fairy dust bag, fairy wand (and fairy wings). The cupcakes would be great along with some juice boxes.
Games - I would explain that fairies fly or jump from flower to flower - and then have a "Jumping/flying contest" - see how far they can take a running jump - of course they have their fairy wings on so they should be able to "fly" further. LOL
Hope this helps some! Happy birthday to your daughter!

another idea re: the food could be cupcakes and then you can go to a craft store and buy little butterflies or fairies that are on a stick and made of nylon and then stick those in the cupcakes. Games or activities....for a 5 year old? hmmm maybe pin the tail on the donkey....or in case of fairies....pin the wings on the fairy?
favors - the baby flowers were a nice idea but you can also pick up the foam kits from a craft store and the kids can make their favor?
Good luck and I hope your lil one has a great birthday!
My daughter is turning 6 on the 20th of this month! What a wonderful idea! What about having a birthday cake shaped in the form of a fairy? Little pouches with gold sprinkles for fairy dust to go with your flower. Just tell them to sprinkle outside not inside. Have a fairy game in which everyone closes their eyes and one hild with a fairy wand touches another and tells them they are a certain thing and they have to act like the animal or other things. Then they switch off when they finish.
Invitations in the simple shape of a fairy wand.
Happy Holidays mama_prito's! Well for starters, make sure the "Birthday Girl" has a set of fairy wings to wear! Cupcakes with sprinkles are good enough (IMO). You didn't mention if this was all girls? So I'm going to assume it is? For the invitations, I would go to your local "99-cent/$dollar store" and purchase 10 fairy type wands and write out each name[party-goers]on a piece of plain white paper cut to size and use a hole-punch and attach it to the wand with ribbon [this can serve as the party favor]. A far as "activities", I would have the "Birthday Girl" sit in the middle of the room[if possible]and have each guest walk up to her, and with "their" wand make/say a "special" Birthday wish! Have Fun! XOXO Moonpie
Fairies are very popular right now and since it's going to be just something small at her school I would say you will be fine with just buying some cupcakes and juice boxes. For a game you could make a poster with fairies on it without there wings then make a set of wings with Velcro on the back and see who can get the wings on the fairy. As far as party favors I would skip that step if it's going to be a distraction while in class instead you could make up little treat bags to send home with them include maybe some fruit snacks that have fairies (look at your local market for these) and if you go to the Dollar Store you can find little toys to put in with each bag as well with out spending alot of money!
