How do you dispose of half-empty Sterno cans?!

How do you dispose of half-empty Sterno cans?

I would put it somewhere that pets or young children couldn't get to it. Light it, and let it burn off. Then dispose of it.

I would put the top back on and then put them in the trash. Most household trash goes to land fill sites.

Scrape out the gel and combine to make full cans....then just throw the empty cans away in the trash. Put the lids on the full cans and save to use later.
