Well since I know what a Candle lite party is!.!.!.!.
I think your best bet is to stick with finger foods!. Finger foods are always better for gatherings of this sort!.

Here are some things I always make-

Tropical Chicken roll ups- tortilla spread with cream cheese and fillings I will post a link for the recipe and don't be afraid of the fruit in it, It's delish and they are always the first things to go!.

Mini weiners or sausages in BBQ sauce

Veggie tray- can never go wrong with this and some ranch dip

Fruit tray- again always well received, most people love fruit

Beef on a stick- I will link the recipe!. Flank steak skewered and marinated then put under the broiler unless you want to grill them!. I made these for the first time last year at Christmas and everyone went nuts about them!.

Finger sandwiches- offer croisant rolls with bowls of chicken and/or tuna salad and some fixins for it, tomatoe, lettuce, cheese

Cheeseball with crackers or cheese and cracker tray

Pesto bread- link again

If you don't want to do finger foods you could always prepare something like a "bar"!.

Make up some taco meat and all the fixins and have it all laid out for people to make tacos and burritos!. Add some spanish rice and you have a complete meal!.

Pasta meal- Cook a couple different kinds of pasta and three or four different sauces like Alfredo, marinara, pesto, garlic butter and olive oil sauce!. Let people put their own dish together add some garlic bread and voila!

Here are the links I said I would post for the above items!. I have tried them all I am posting and all yielded wonderful results!.

Make a ring with some crescent dough leaving a hole in the middle!. Bake!. Cool!. Then top it like a veggie pizza - some kind of cream cheese/ranch mixture then top with veggies (broccoli, red pepper, shredded carrots, etc!.!.!.!.!. Put a NON-SCENTED candle in the middle!. OOooh, mood lighting and food!. yum!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Here is a great fruit dip idea!. Add Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix to Sour Cream!. I know it sounds gross!.!.!. but let me tell you !.!. a true winner!. Easy and Good!. Cut up some Fruits and Enjoy !.!.!. I would not add the whole package of pudding!. Add some and then taste !.!.!. It will be a guaranteed hit!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, you can serve anything that you think or cook no matter how it looks since it's a candle light party so the area was a littlebit dark nobody will notice that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Something fancy and in the mood!. Maybe something Italian although not pizza, try soup(Tomato Basil Soups is good) or something else subtle and "in a candle light mood"!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
