We just did this for our daughter!.!.!.have a nice punch / beverage that you can serve in toasting glasses!. I bought a bunch of champagne glasses at vintage and thrift stores for very inexpensive!. I tied a little ribbon at the bottom - the colors of the university!. We toasted her accomplishments and this was a very drinkable punch!. I made a fritatta, which is like a quiche but no crust!. It can be served hot or cold and is great for vegetarians too!. We had Chinese Chicken Salad that is easy to make the day before, and pretty too!. We also made open-faced quesadillas that we cut into triangular pieces!. They were served with tomatoes, olives, green chiles, avocados, green onions, and the guests just added what they wanted on their slices!. I made a "cake" of cupcakes with the serving arrangements you can purchase that arranges the cupcakes into a tiered like cake, and we had a few different flavors!. All were topped with white frosting and then blue and yellow sprinkles for school colors again!. The napkins we rolled up like diplomas and secured them with the blue ribbon!. We used solid colored plates and real silverware!. You could check at the party stores for graduation decorations, or you may need to make some since it is not that "season"!. Mortar boards are not so hard to make, and the tassels are pretty easy as well!. You could add those to a purchased "Congratulations" banner too!. Check to see if you could find graduation confetti, and 2008 odds and ends would be inexpensive at clearance sections and party stores or paper/Hallmark-type stores!.
Hope this gives you some ideas!. The spirit and excitement will definitely be there, and little things will make everything so special for your sister!. That is so nice of you to honor her accomplishments in this way! Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have two snack ideas! I just had a party tonight and they were a big hit :D
1) Regular ol' cupcakes with colorful sprinkles!. Since I had a girly party, I used confetti cake mix and hot-pink sprinkles!. Everybody loves cupcakes!.
2) Pizza pinwheels!. They're real easy to make and they taste great! Great for vegetarians, too!. Just leave out the pepperoni!Www@FoodAQ@Com
